Before debuting, she was an online shopping mall model, having been scouted after her photos were uploaded onto DSP's homepage. Thus, Goo Hara became a member of Kara in 2008. She made her official solo debut on July 13th, 2015 with a mini-album titled "ALOHARA (Can You Feel It?)".
In 2018, Hara released her first Japanese single, WILD. This was followed with Midnight Queen a year later.
On November 24th, 2019, Hara reportedly passed away in her home.

렌덕이었던 저는 아육대 직관 갔을 때 dsp 팬덤 구역 카밀리아,에이라이트분들과 같이 붙어 있었죠.
그 때 잠시 팬분들이랑 놀려고 카라랑 레인보우 누나들 같이 올라 와서 잠깐 봤을 때 그 이쁜 미모와 백치미(?)로 저를 비롯한 DSP 팬분들이랑 즐겁게 대화 하던 모습이 생각나네요.
잠시 뒤에 당시 카라 맴버 4분들이 또 올라오셔서 같이 사진 찍을려는데 제 뒤에서 바로 찍으시려 해서 황급히 포즈 잡고 찍을 준비 하고 한편의 추억으로 남았던게 기억납니다.
같은 29살이고 취업 못하고 꿈도 의욕도 더이상은 없는 저도 이렇게 살아 가고 있는데 구하라씨에게 조금이라도 힘을 보태줄 수 있는 그런 사람이 아닌게 죄송할 따름입니다.
부디 다음 생애에는 구하라씨를 진심으로 사랑할 수 있는 사람을 만나시길 바라며 설리씨를 비롯해 다음 생애에서 인연을 같이 하실 분들과 더 행복하게 지냈으면 좋겠습니다.
