Moon Byul-yi was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where she lived with her parents and two younger sisters, Seulgi and Yesol. She is currently attending Paekche Institute of the Arts where she studies media and music.

Moonbyul's concept is so unique to be honest. I haven't seen any other female kpop idol do this and pull it off so so flawlessly. It's like she's made for this. I think that's also a reason why it isn't that popular, which is disheartening. Because this concept isn't a popular one. But we shouldn't give up! Yes!! I’m so proud to say that she is the first female idol to do this kind of concept. She tried to break barriers and even though not many notice it there are probably female idols that really appreciate this because they might want to try it but since it’s a different concept/style they can’t. Seeing this is a improvement in Kpop for females.
