You look at me, I look at you
You look at me, I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
니 뻔한 그 말에 난 그대로 knock down (down)
You look at me
I look at you
You look at me
I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
You look at me, I look at you
You look at me, I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
Yeah you look at me
I look at you
The lyrics of 소녀시대's song "Look at Me" describe a situation where two people are attracted to each other but are hesitant to make a move. The singer notices that the person they are interested in is also looking at them, and they feel a connection. The repetitive phrase "You look at me, I look at you" emphasizes the mutual attraction and the back-and-forth gaze between the two individuals. The lyrics express the feeling of excitement and anticipation, as the singer's heart pounds and they find it hard to concentrate.
The lyrics also touch upon the familiarity and predictability of the other person's behavior. The singer notices the other person's patterns and their obvious attempts to catch their attention. Despite this, the singer finds it charming and enjoyable, implying a willingness to engage in a potential relationship. The lyrics overall convey a sense of flirtation, playfulness, and the thrill of falling for someone.
