Wooyoung debuted along with 2PM with their single "10점 만점에 10점" (10 Out of 10) on 4 September 2008. He released his first solo album 23, Male, Single on July 8, 2012.

On March 4, 2015, he released his first japanese single R.O.S.E, preceded by a tour of concerts in Tokyo, Osaka and Aichi.
