Jung passed the KBS audition and was signed by leading talent agency SidusHQ. He made his acting debut in "5 Stars", a mobile drama produced by SidusHQ and broadcast over SK Telecom. A few minor roles on KBS followed. Jung's first major break came in the 2004 melodrama series "I'm Sorry, I Love You". In the follow-up series,

Jung reprises the song "Precious Person" aka "소중한 사람" (from the original series) , as his character, "Yoon" (aka 윤) ".
Their respective agencies confirmed in January 2014 that Jung has been dating actress and singer Choi Soo Young from the girl group Girls' Generation since early 2013. They became acquainted as they attended the same church and went to the same university.
In 2020, Jung starred in hit and critically acclaimed medical (and musical) drama, Hospital Playlist as Kim Jun-wan, an associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery. He reprised his role in season 2 in 2021. I
In another music related drama, "When The Devil Calls Your Name", he plays an older musician, inspired by a young singer to start performing his old repertoire once more. Jung is also an accomplished guitarist, and singer, and performs his own singing, and guitar work, in both "Hospital Playlist" and "When The Devil Calls Your Name". Jung also plays a musical artist in MBC's 2017 plane crash drama, "Missing 9".

정경호 목소리는 정말 좋은 이유가 너무 낮지도 높지도 않고 발음대로도 잘 들리고 너무 굵지도 얇지도 않고....기교같은거 막 넣지도 않고 담백하게 부르는게 진심같아서...
