Time Machine
Grand Funk Railroad Lyrics
Jump to: Line by Line Meaning ↴
I said a-hey there baby, do you want to make the scene?
Aw well come on over baby, step into my time machine
You best jump into my action, I'm gonna make you feel right
Aw, jump into my action, I'm gonna make you feel right
Don't worry 'bout tomorrow 'cause I'm gonna love you tonight
Step into the front row, I'm gonna show you how
Don't worry 'bout no time we can always come back to right now
Aw and I'm gonna' give it to you
When you wanna come back, we just a turn about
When you wanna come back, we just a turn about
But we ain't gonna' come back 'till there ain't no doubt
Now don't it get good to you, ah-do you know what I mean?
Said don't it get good to you, don't you know what I mean?
Well come on over baby, jump into my time machine
Well a-hey there baby, do you want to make the scene?
Hello there, would you like to join me in experiencing something exciting?
I said a-hey there baby, do you want to make the scene?
I'm repeating my invitation to join me in something thrilling
Aw well come on over baby, step into my time machine
Come closer and enter my metaphorical device that transports us to another time
You best jump into my action, I'm gonna make you feel right
You should enthusiastically participate in my activity, as I intend to make you feel content and satisfied
Aw, jump into my action, I'm gonna make you feel right
Oh, engage in my endeavor, as I promise to provide you with a sense of well-being
Don't worry 'bout tomorrow 'cause I'm gonna love you tonight
Don't concern yourself about the future, as I will shower you with affection and love in the present
Step into the front row, I'm gonna show you how
Move into a position of prominence, and I will demonstrate and teach you
Step into the front row, I wanna show you how
Take a leading role in this experience, and I desire to demonstrate and guide you
Don't worry 'bout no time we can always come back to right now
Do not fret about time, as we can always return to the present moment
Aw and I'm gonna' give it to you
Oh, I am going to provide and deliver what you desire
When you wanna come back, we just a turn about
When you wish to return, we simply rotate or change direction
When you wanna come back, we just a turn about
When you desire to return, we simply rotate or change direction
But we ain't gonna' come back 'till there ain't no doubt
However, we won't return until all uncertainties or doubts are eliminated
Now don't it get good to you, ah-do you know what I mean?
Now isn't this enjoyable for you? Do you understand the significance?
Said don't it get good to you, don't you know what I mean?
I'm saying, doesn't this bring you satisfaction? Don't you comprehend my intention?
Well come on over baby, jump into my time machine
So come closer, my dear, and participate in my symbolic device that transports us through time

I just wanna thank my daddy for having all the Grand Funk albums. What a background theme to grow up to.
@mikesanmiguel2954
Your Daddy had great taste ! 👍✌️
@JT-yd2dm
My dad's favorite band, too!
@lisamarquez4369
Is this not, the best rock and roll you have ever heard!
@chrisbotelho7212
Probably not but it's damn good. Very soulful.
@frankherrera935
Came home from Nam and it wasn't drugs, I got hooked on GFR!
@clydetexan
Mark Farner is a genius. He can sing with the best of them. Great tunes to feel good by. Thanks Mark.
@thaboomer53
+Clyde Mccray Totally under rated. Amazing talent in those 3 guys. The drum solos by Brewer were off the hook. Too bad the group didn't get along in the later years. What could they have accomplished if they remained together?
@clydetexan
+thaboomer53 You are so right my man. They are an American band.
@ACG7001
@thaboomer53 and too bad they sold out around American band, after that they had a few good songs but nothing compared to the first 7 albums and then mel and don screwed over Mark
