Having an amazing voice doesn’t equal to ‘trying too hard’. Selena gets noticed more for other things, it’s obvious her singing isn’t what got her up there. She’s talented but lets not be biased here.

Edit: i get we all have our preferences, but this comment was so obviously a jab at the very talented singers who can easily out-sing her. And it’s ok if they do, it doesn’t make Selena inferior as an influence. I just don’t see how people admire her voice so much when it’s so average and NOT what made her famous at all.
