Did anyone notice that in 'Helpless', when Angelica said "I'll leave you to it." She sounded a bit conflicted with herself, and just forced a smile and a reply to keep her sister happy.

Yet here, in 'Satisfied', she sounds so confident and sure that she managed to convince herself and everyone that everything was okay.

@Jonh Manzana its not clear if they had an extramarital relationship. letters between hamilton and angelica were fairly suggestive at times and hamiltons son did destroy a bunch of them and also sanitized some of his letters to laurens. but if any affair did happen it would have been incredibly well hidden as it would have destroyed eliza and angelica's relationship. also eliza had access to all those same letters after hamilton died which makes me personally think that it never happened.

1. Anglica was not only married, she was also deeply in love with her actual husband. I think originally Philp Schuyler didn't approve of the marriage but she still got married with her husband anyway because she loved him so much. (I think his name was Church something)

2. Angelica Schuyler also was known to be quite the flirtatious lady. She literally flirted with so many poltical figures in America at the time (Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, etc) I think she made Thomas Jefferson so eloped with her to the point where he almost tried to court her despite her being married. But the point is with her flirtatious personality and Hamilton's "Tomcat" personality they of course flirted back and forth a lot. Which explains their relationship "being closer to lovers" often described by historians. But it was mostly playful/harmless flirting.

3. Y'all it's Angelica Schuyler. Have some more faith. If there is one thing proven in history, its Angelica's love for her sister, Elizabeth Schuyler. I hate how I actually kinda understood Angelica. There was this girl, and god for me she was amazing. I was afraid of something similar happening to me. About maybe a year ago I joined a friend group. One of the guys I already met and became friends with at school. His best friend (let’s call him x) was in that friend group alongside a couple of other people I’d never met. I got closer to them and developed a particular fondness for x.

Now x and I confessed to each other a couple months ago and certain things happened between us, so I was sure there was still mutual interest. Regardless of that I was still incredibly fearful of x and my friend developing feelings for each other but so far that hasn’t happened.

The saddest part is when she sings about how if she tells Eliza she likes Alexander, that she would be silent and let Angelica have him, and say she's fine but obviously would be lying, but she's basically then describing how she feels now. Once Eliza told her, she put away her feelings and let Eliza and Alexander meet. She sees fine to the others, but is hurting inside. Basically, no matter if Angelica got Alexander, Eliza would feel this way, and of Eliza got Alexander, Angelica would feel this way. It's just sad to think about how whoever got who, they would put their sister first.

The poor look of horror, confussion, and sadness on Angelica's face when she turned and saw that Eliza too was in love with Alexander is so genuine and heartbreaking. It is clear that she loved him but caused herself pain and gave him away so that her sister could be happy and marry him instead. Also the part where she thinks about what could have happened between her an Alexander is very relatable and brought tears to my eyes. Angelica deserved so much more for being the selfless person that she was. oh, i understand.
i liked one guy, but then found out that my friend also likes him. so i didn't tell anyone about my feelings. she asked me to help her confess to him, and i helped. they started dating, she was happy, and therefore i was happy.
but last year she broke up with him quite violently, and she was rude to me, so i stopped being friends with her.
but now that boy writes paper letters to me and calls me every day. i am happy, loved and there are no more toxic people in my life.

she was right when she said that alexander will never be satisfied, because he wasn't. he was never satisfied, and angelica was never satisfied.

alexander was so focused on rising to the top, he was so set on leaving behind a legacy of his own that he didnt see that he was hurting people. he didn't see that he hurt people in trying to reach his ''ascendancy'' and ''legacy'' and his ''fame''. he hurt eliza, he chose being in charge of the treasury department instead of his wife, he claimed in helpless ''as long as i'm alive, eliza, swear to god, you never feel so helpless''. he made her feel helpless, despite saying that he wouldnt. its sad to see eliza basically cast to the side, yes i know he loved her, but he chose his legacy and ascendancy over his own wife.

I absolutely loved what you did at the end with the white, grey, and red. It truly shows their history, it shows that Eliza is perfectly happy, and absolutely loves Alexander no matter what, hence being the pure white. And how Angelica is hurting deeply inside and loves Alexander, but will let him go, hence her being red. And I think the absolute best thing is that you made Alexander grey! It shows that right now he loves Eliza, but also Angelica, and can flip his love so quickly. It fits perfectly with the words at the end "He will never be satisfied" it's hinting at what happens later, and that he was never satisfied with Eliza.

Funnily I'm revisiting the video after listening and sobbing to this song for years. I passed up someone for a friend who was also interested in the dude a long time ago. The fact that Angelica pretended that she was crying tears of joy for her sister cuz she got married to Alexander but in reality she was hurt because she likes him too and she watched the two of them get married. Actually, in real life she was already married by the time she was introduced to Alexander. But yeah, she had to watch someone she likes marrying her beloved sister. So she was at a dead end at that moment.
