water
for
your eyes
i'll follow you as
you're my
flower
and
will water them as
colors
fade and...
fall
HOW CAN YOU!
PROTECT ME!
The lyrics to *shels's song Wingsfortheirsmiles evoke a sense of devotion and service towards someone else. The opening line "I am water for your eyes" suggests that the singer is a source of comfort or cleansing for the other person's emotional state. They describe the other person as "my flower" and vow to care for them as they go through changes and hardships, indicated by the line "I will water them as colors fade and…fall"
However, the song also takes on a more desperate tone with the repeated plea, "How can you! Protect me!" The singer is asking for help or reassurance that they will be cared for and safe, potentially indicating a power imbalance in the relationship. The overall effect is a powerful display of vulnerability and devotion coupled with a sense of fear and insecurity.
