There was a friend of mine on murder
And the judge's gavel fell
Jury found him guilty
Gave him sixteen years in hell
He said "I ain't spending my life here
I ain't livin' alone
Ain't breakin' no rocks on the chain gang
I'm breakin' out and heading home"
Gonna make a (jailbreak)
And I'm looking towards the sky
I'm gonna make a (jailbreak)
Oh, how I wish that I could fly

All in the name of liberty
All in the name of liberty
Got to be free

(Jailbreak)
Let me outta here
(Jailbreak)
Sixteen years
(Jailbreak)
Had more than I can take
(Jailbreak)

Yeah

He said he'd seen his lady being fooled with
By another man
She was down and he was up
Had a gun in his hand
Bullets started flying everywhere
People start to scream
Big man lyin' on the ground
With a hole in his body where his life had been

But it was all in the name of liberty
All in the name of liberty
I got to be free

(Jailbreak)
(Jailbreak)
I got to break out
Out of here

Heartbeats
They were racing
Freedom
He was chasin'
Spotlights
Sirens
Rifles firing
But he made it out

With a bullet in his back

Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak
Jailbreak

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of AC/DC's 'Jailbreak' song tell a story about a man who was unjustly incarcerated and was sentenced to sixteen years in prison for murder. In his mind, he believes that he did not deserve to be there and decides to break out of prison rather than spend the rest of his life in that environment. He declares that he isn't going to remain incarcerated, burdened by rocks on the chain gang, and instead, he'll make a jailbreak and fly off into the sky.

What is intriguing about the song is that it touches on themes of liberation, freedom, and justice. The lyrics express the prisoner's desire to break free from the confines of the jail cell and escape the oppression of the penal system. The words "all in the name of liberty, got to be free" suggest a deeper meaning where the prisoner believes that he's been unjustly treated, and his sentence was too harsh.

Hey, thanx for commenting! ..well the neck on the grgr121ex felt real strange when i first tried it, so i concluded that i dident like it. Then i moved the powersound pickups over to my Alfwood Strat-copy and was very happy with the sound. A year later I mounted the singlecoils from the Alfwood on to the Ibanez grgr.. I played it for a few days and thought; WTF was i thinking.. The neck is GREAT!! The grgr121 is now one of my fav guitars!! :)

@Rocknrollthor_norway

@JCmmmhm Thanks! I found some plastic plate that I used just for fitting the singlecoils and painted around it with black hammerrite..

@matthewthejugglersa

@Rocknrollthor Awesome, thanks, I love the old AC/DC sound with Bon Scott, he changed the style a lot, the new AC/DC- Brian Johnson sound is way different, my amp is different so I have the bass on 3, the mid on 6 and the high on 8. Where's your gain at, I put it around 6 or 7 for old AC/DC, and it also works well for Guns N' Roses. Thanks man and btw on the video description it says your 'secret' AC/DC setting.

@matthewthejugglersa

thats awesome please please tell me your amp settings

@Rocknrollthor_norway

@matthewthejugglersa Well the settings i use for AC/DC on my line 6 spider 3 is blues or crunch (red or green) . Then i set bass and mid to 5 and turn treble really high. ..then i turn up mid until it sounds just right for old acdc.. Moderate drive with high gain and lots of mid & treb. Playing Thunderstruck or back in black i use the metal settings instead .. Check out my cover of 'its a long way 2 the top' where im using the 12ax7 pedal for drive and clean amp sound with high eq sets.. :)

@Rocknrollthor_norway

Yes it does!!! Its like an strat with no vib-arm.. Sorry for my first answer!! Had to check!!

@yellowpwns97

please help me to get tone like ur left guitar?

@Rocknrollthor_norway
