So Fly
213 Lyrics

Woo, yeah welcome to tha Chuuch: Volume I I
Exclusive 213 (Ah, ha, ha)
Got my nephew Nate Dogg in the house
Nate Dogg, holla at 'em, where you at?

Ridin' in my car
And I'm listenin' to the radio
I'm listenin' to a sad girl sing
Sing about how she got her heart broke
People reaching for stars
I just want me something natural
When you're alone it gets mighty cold
Don't act as if you did not know
She let me play with her heart
I'm working late I said I'll soon be home
All the while the girl was home alone
Let me tell you what she crying for (Why?)
'Cause I'm fly
(yeah, he super fly, Nate Dogg)
Woah, oh oh I'm fly, yeah

Yeah, you know he super fly
But me I'm Snooper Dooper and
I'm super duper fly (Fly, fly)
I be the greatest 'cause I
Know you waited this and I wanted this to be
Elaborate and so strenuous
And then you just slide by and wiz-ave
You on another piz-age
Is that the way you gon' be-hiz-ave?
I know you feelin' all hurt inside
But won't you talk to a player
Let me help out your pride?
I'm like a counselor, a pastor
A priest or a psychologist
A shrink on a freak, peep my technique
I wear minks, gator boots and I'm the the
One that gets the loot
And I ain't afraid to shoot
And I love to toot toot
Beep-beep as I slide up the street
I'm from the LBC and I don't know
What y'all done heard about me
But I'm a C-R-IP with some P-IM-P too
I'm a real pimp player from the 213 crew
Now look here, boo
If you gon' bang or hang with the Dogg
You best to get in, holla at her, Nate Dogg
(Holla, holla, holla)

Ridin' in my car
And I'm listenin' to the radio
I'm listenin' to a sad girl sing
Sing about how she got her heart broke
People reaching for stars
I just want me something natural
When you're alone it gets mighty cold
Don't act as if you did not know
She let me play with her heart
I'm working late I said I'll soon be home
All the while the girl was home alone
Let me tell you what she crying for (Why?)
'Cause I'm fly
(yeah, he super fly, Nate Dogg)
Woah, oh oh I'm fly, yeah

Warren G 3 piece with a mink
Gotta think my shit stinks
Stacy Adams with a drink
Pockets pad up, they come from Brinks
So what the ladies wink
You the one in the Mercedes
Shotgun with the thing
Coat chillin', watching "The Lion King"
Crying and thangs
Cause I'm with Snoop and Nate - singing
Rhyming and things
I'm out late cause I'm grinding for change
I ain't with dime for dames
Cock back and I'm trying to aim
At everything, that be hating my fame
Since regulating, been lacing the game
Ain't no mistake in the game
Two-one mother f'in dwizzle sippin
On the sizzle and that's for shizzle
Four times for the riddles
You know these bars everywhere we go
You know who us are
You could tell by the car champagn, caviar
Bubble bath, I say I love you and I laugh

Ridin' in my car
And I'm listenin' to the radio
I'm listenin' to a sad girl sing
Sing about how she got her heart broke
People reaching for stars
I just want me something natural
When you're alone it gets mighty cold
Don't act as if you did not know
She let me play with her heart
I'm working late I said I'll soon be home
All the while the girl was home alone
Let me tell you what she crying for (Why?)
'Cause I'm fly

(yeah, he super fly, Nate Dogg)
Woah, oh oh I'm fly, yeah

Overall Meaning

The song "So Fly" by 213 is a rap song that reflects on the artist's luxurious lifestyle and how it attracts women. The song starts with Nate Dogg introducing the song, and how he's feeling fly. The first verse is a reflection of when the artist is driving in his car and listening to the radio, and a sad song comes on where a girl is singing about how her heart has been broken. The artist explains how all he wants is something natural, and when alone, it gets mighty cold. He then details how he played with a girl's heart, while she was alone at home crying.

In the next verse, Snoop Dogg takes over and raps about how he's the flyest in the room. He says that he's the greatest, and he knows everyone has been waiting for him. He wears expensive clothes such as mink and gator boots, and he's not afraid to shoot. He raps about his lifestyle and how he's a C-R-I-P and a P-I-M-P, and how he's from the 213 crew. He sings about how everyone should know him and what he's about, and if they're hanging with him, they should know what they're in for. Warren G closes the rap, singing about how he's out late grinding for change, and how he's not interested in women who are only in it for the money.

Overall, "So Fly" is a song that glorifies the artist's flashy, luxurious lifestyle and how it attracts women. It's a typical rap song that celebrates money, power, and fame.

In 2003 i remember singing this song in Compton California in the elevator of a hotel called Crystal Lake Hotel and Casino. I thought the song was on the elevator music but I turned around and boom there was Nate Dogg singing that classic jam!!!! He said Big Homie you aint from here huh??? I said nah bro Im from Ga. He was like if you aint doing shit come kick it with us. He invited me to his brothers pre wedding party that night up in the hotel suites. The wildest party ive ever been to up to this very day!!!! While other celebrities are mega stuck up and fucked up, Hands down Nate Dogg is the greatest down to earth celebrity ive ever met. This man was truly for his fans. and he always kept a bottle of Henny trill shit!!!
Rest In Peace O.G Nate Dogg!!!!
