He was first known for being one-half of southern hip hop duo, Playaz Circle. They're recognized for being signed to Ludacris' record label Disturbing tha Peace and their debut single "Duffle Bag Boy".

Tity Boi AKA 2 Chainz is one half of Playaz Circle along with long time friend Dolla Boy. 2 Chainz played basketball at ASU (Alabama State University) in Montgomery, Alabama. Hailing from the Southside of Atlanta, Playaz Circle came together as a compilation in the late 90’s. They released their debut album, and shortly after that, they were introduced to radio DJ Chris Lova Lova AKA Ludacris through mutual friend Lil' Fate. Unfortunately. shortly after that, 2 Chainz was shot and Dolla was incarcerated. After hearing about their misfortune, Ludacris reached out, offering to sign them. DTP began to form, and 2 Chainz was apart of the label and signed to DTP when Dolla Boy was released.

Throughout his career, Epps received speculation that the name Tity Boi was meant to be derogatory towards women, although he repeatedly denied the accusations,in early 2011 he decided to change his stage name to 2 Chainz as he perceived it to be more "family friendly".

Overall Meaning

In "Spend It", 2 Chainz is bragging about his wealth and success. He's riding around and spending his money, enjoying his lavish lifestyle. He's smoking on exotic (high-quality) weed while his girl asks him for money after they have sex. He reminds her that money was always the subject when he went to school, and now he's making a lot of it. He's so rich, he's buying cars like Maseratis and Kawasaki bikes, and even got his girl a BMW. He's also matching his jewelry with his Tequila, enjoying Patron margaritas with his divas.

In the second verse, he mentions the expensive clothing he's wearing, and how he's filling his goals and climbing up the ladder. He's killing features and shows, and he should have sex in a coffin because he's killing these hoes (women). He ends by saying he's smoking loud in public, and his entourage is bucking (showing off their wealth and power).

Overall, "Spend It" is a celebration of 2 Chainz's success and the luxuries he can now afford. It's a song about enjoying life and spending money on the things he enjoys.
