Hideaway
3. Radio Record | Kiesza Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I got a man who tries to run me
That's the way to make me run away
He don't know he's just-a pushin' me
To a man then makes me happy
I'm an independent woman
I don't need no man to take care of me
Can't nobody pay for my problems
'Cause I supply my own security
I need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway
Listen to me I Need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway (oh)
I need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway
Listen to me I Need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway (oh)
Hideaway..
Ah- Ah- Aha ...
If it ain't one thing, it's another
Don't you get caught up in the truth, time each other
Love will make you blind every time
But now I need a little peace of mind
I need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway
Listen to me I Need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway (oh)
I need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway
Listen to me I Need a hide-hide-hide-hideaway
To make me runaway (oh)

Hideaway..
Ah- Ah- Aha ...

Worn out Testicles

One of the greatest dance tunes ever produced. I still remember being 10 years old and hearing this alongside Robert Miles' Children and Set Me Free...

Summer of '95. In my mid twenties, working on the farm. My parents were away for a few days and my bruv and I were hand-digging the pond out. The sun was scorching and the flies were biting but my bro plugged in a fucken massive amp and speakers that he'd picked up cheap. Had pirate radio stations out of Brighton blasting out until the neighbours, half a mile away, got all stressy about it. D'Lacy was on loop on one station and we dug like we'd never dug before. Love this tune. Takes me back to those carefree days. No drugs involved. No hos. Just a mega happy vibe and the golden days of dance. Cheers for sharing.
