Jackson was born and raised in South Jamaica, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. His mother Sabrina, a drug dealer, died in a fire when he was 8. Since his father had already abandoned the family, young Curtis was sent to live with his grandparents. Growing up during the crack epidemic of the 80s and 90s, Jackson dealt drugs when he wasn't "killing time" at school or boxing at a local gym. His grandparents assumed he was at after-school programs when he was out selling crack. In tenth grade, Jackson was caught with guns and drug money passing through the metal detectors at Andrew Jackson High School in Queens. In 1994, Jackson was arrested again for selling vials of cocaine to an undercover officer, and three weeks later he was arrested yet-again after police found heroin, crack cocaine, and a starter pistol in his home. Jackson was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison, but opted to join a 6 month boot camp program and get his GED. Around this time, Jackson began going by "50 Cent," inspired by deceased Brooklyn stick-up man Kelvin "50 Cent" Martin.
After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back Again in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003), The Massacre (2006), Curtis (2007) and Before I Self Destruct (2009).
50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.
Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jayβs music. After heβd left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qua Ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.
Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Centβs demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr. Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr. Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.
In its first week of release, his debut βGet Rich Or Die Tryinββ sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.
In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryinβ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.
In 2003 Interscope Records allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit Records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit Records. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.

I got am million dollars for
Every bump in your face and next year
You're gonna have an acne problem ahh! yeah
Showtime, I'm gonna make it look easy
I told niggas I'm a hustler
It's like they keep on forgetting
You still think I'm bullshitting?
Catch me on top of Fortune's Hot 100
Head of G-Unit Enterprises
Still getting blunted
Went from selling crack to rap
That's two different games
But they're parallel to each other, homie
So they're quite the same
You know that crack spot so hot
You better off playing the block
Fiends can't help but be fiends
They come and cop for the cops
Back in the pens again
Penitentiary doors spin
The game full of heartbreaks
Can I win for Christsakes? Ace after ace
Lady Luck just won't fuck with me
That's why I got this attitude, nigga
Don't say "what up!" to me
I took something heart-pumping
Move and I'll pop something cop bricks
Break 'em down to pieces and prop something
Niggas stay in stunt mode so
I stay strapped up my body language saying
''Fuck around and get clapped up''
I sip on Coke when it's with Henny
Go for broke with the semi
Niggas talk behind my back
But they don't really want it with me
Pussy niggas pop shit me
I'm on that block shit
That rubber band, hundred grand
In that night box, bitch
You know the raps bought the Benz
And the cracks bought the rims
Vivica she bought the gym
Told you I'm a fuckin' pimp
I was born a bad seed, I defied the odds
I ain't play the hand that I was dealt
I switched the cards
Still I keep a poker face, frontin'
I'mma catch a case flip out, poke your face
You're laid out, now, what a waste
I'm Super Fly, Ron O'Neal of this rap shit
When that drama pop and you get shot
Let's see you bounce back, bitch
You nigga
You come around this bitch frontin'
I'ma have to chase you outta here you nigga
You come around this bitch frontin'
I'ma have to chase you outta here you nigga
You come around this bitch frontin'
I'ma have to chase you outta here you nigga
You come around this bitch frontin'
I'ma have to chase you outta here
In the song "Chase You Outta Here" by 50 Cent, the lyrics convey a strong sense of assertiveness and confidence. 50 Cent begins by warning others to be mindful of their appearance, emphasizing his financial power by stating that he has a million dollars for every imperfection on their face. He predicts that they will face an acne problem in the future. This demonstrates his ability to effortlessly handle challenges and suggests that he will make it look easy.
He then reiterates his identity as a hustler, expressing surprise that some people have forgotten this fact. He boasts about earning 36 million dollars in just eight months, challenging anyone who doubts him. Mentioning his success on Fortune's Hot 100 list and his leadership of G-Unit Enterprises, 50 Cent reinforces his status and influence in the industry. He further asserts his street credibility, noting his transition from selling drugs (crack) to becoming a successful rapper. Despite the different settings, he emphasizes the parallels between the two worlds, implying that one must be equally street-smart and strategic to succeed in both.
The lyrics also touch on the darker side of 50 Cent's past, referencing his time in prison and the heartbreaks and challenges he has faced. He expresses frustration with his luck, implying that despite his efforts, he continuously encounters setbacks and obstacles. This fuels his tough and aggressive attitude, deterring people from approaching him casually. He suggests a readiness to respond to any threat against him, asserting his power and willingness to defend himself if necessary.
Throughout the song, 50 Cent reinforces his image as a confident and fearless individual. He mentions his association with luxury items like Benzes and rims, as well as his relationships with notable figures like Vivica A. Fox, portraying himself as a renowned and dominant figure in the entertainment industry. He attributes his success and resilience to his rebellious nature, as he defies expectations and redefines his circumstances.
The chorus of the song serves as a warning to those who try to deceive or challenge him. 50 Cent expresses his readiness to chase them out and eliminate their presence. The repetition of this message in the chorus emphasizes his determination to respond assertively and forcefully to those who disrespect or oppose him.
Overall, "Chase You Outta Here" showcases 50 Cent's unwavering confidence, street credibility, and unwillingness to back down in the face of adversity. The lyrics reflect his past experiences, successes, and challenges, reaffirming his position as a dominant force in the music industry.
