Jackson was born and raised in South Jamaica, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. His mother Sabrina, a drug dealer, died in a fire when he was 8. Since his father had already abandoned the family, young Curtis was sent to live with his grandparents. Growing up during the crack epidemic of the 80s and 90s, Jackson dealt drugs when he wasn't "killing time" at school or boxing at a local gym. His grandparents assumed he was at after-school programs when he was out selling crack. In tenth grade, Jackson was caught with guns and drug money passing through the metal detectors at Andrew Jackson High School in Queens. In 1994, Jackson was arrested again for selling vials of cocaine to an undercover officer, and three weeks later he was arrested yet-again after police found heroin, crack cocaine, and a starter pistol in his home. Jackson was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison, but opted to join a 6 month boot camp program and get his GED. Around this time, Jackson began going by "50 Cent," inspired by deceased Brooklyn stick-up man Kelvin "50 Cent" Martin.
After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back Again in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003), The Massacre (2006), Curtis (2007) and Before I Self Destruct (2009).
50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.
Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jay’s music. After he’d left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qua Ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.
Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Cent’s demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr. Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr. Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.
In its first week of release, his debut ”Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.
In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.
In 2003 Interscope Records allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit Records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit Records. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.

They say they do it like i do it with no mask on
Nigger get the fuck out of line, you getting blast on
Jesus let the weak roam the earth without a purpose
Without stumping, ...fucking it till it's under the surface
Now i need you to get it through your blood clot, hey
Before i put a bullet through your blood clot dress
These niggers ain't made of the same shit i'm made off
I let a nigger slide, he came back and almost shot me
Then he was thinking i was scared, nah nigger not me
They don't understand i was raised by the vultures
Kill laughing like hyenas in the crib full of roaches
So call grandmamma mommy cause mommy already dead
Daddy biznesses is always a little kid
Now who dares ...playing games with the...
They know my pedigree testing me, i'm a ...
Stop the blood clot crying, the kids the dog, everybody dying
No lying, don't cry, dry your eyes, don't cry, dry your eyes
Stop the blood clot crying, the kids the dog, everybody dying
No lying, don't cry, dry your eyes, don't cry, dry your eyes
That first body drop we just getting started death come in 3's
Hey all 15, m16, semiautomatic, murder machine
Wave that, blaze that, give a nigger wing
When that blade's in your flesh it's an emergency
Your lovely heart open call it surgery
Feels like my last girlfriend, i lost her
One second thought, i know just where i left her, the altar
See i have an advantage, i don't care about tomorrow
Found out that i'm ain't fronting when them patients start to fall
You know attempted murder was the case that they gave me
Now bullet wounds now a nigger half crazy
Word is that a tear i see forming in your eye
Why you so frightened we're all gonna die
You can say a prayer when i come like a reaper
Staring through that sight on the top of my heater, now
Stop the blood clot crying, the kids the dog, everybody dying
No lying, don't cry, dry your eyes, don't cry, dry your eyes
Stop the blood clot crying, the kids the dog, everybody dying
No lying, don't cry, dry your eyes, don't cry, dry your eyes.
In this song, 50 Cent talks about his tough upbringing and how it shaped him into the person he is today. He emphasizes his strength and his willingness to protect those he cares about. He also discusses the inevitability of death and how it affects everyone, urging listeners to stop crying and accept the reality of mortality.
The first few lines of the song are about 50 Cent's self-confidence. He proclaims that he is himself and that he doesn't need to pretend to be anyone else. He references the idea of wearing a mask, implying that other people might be hiding their true selves. He then goes on to threaten anyone who crosses him, saying that they will be "blasted" if they step out of line.
He then brings up Jesus and questions why the weak are allowed to roam the earth without a purpose. He also talks about burying things "under the surface," perhaps referring to the idea of repressing painful memories or emotions. He warns his opponents to beware before he puts a bullet through their "blood clot dress," using a Jamaican term to emphasize his toughness.
50 Cent then talks about his loyalty to his friends and how he is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them. He shares a story about a friend who tried to shoot him but failed, and he emphasizes that he is not scared of anyone. He then alludes to his tough upbringing, saying he was "raised by the vultures" and had to kill "like hyenas" in order to survive.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the theme of death and the need to stop crying about it. 50 Cent says that everyone is going to die eventually and that there's no point in trying to deny it. He says that people need to be strong and face reality head-on.

@justinnorman8517
50 is a goat. His hooks are amazing and he has good flow and lyrics. He was like no other when he came out. Eminem even had his eyes open to him it should mean something.
