I get stuck
I get stuck in my thoughts
Sometimes I don't know what to think next…
Yeah
Taking on the lies got my heart sunk and all
Feeling something got me lost to move alone
I'm on my way don't lose control now
I got a lot to lose
Leave the house at two
Finna roll witchu
(Let's roll up)
Roll up witchu
We still on the same page baby?
Tired of fronting like it's something to do, lately
All them long nights on a facetime
Want me gone with my shoes c'mon
Yeah yeah
Whatchu want so hard it takes time
Drive fast going back on i-80
Making moves on the road to waste time
Need you here in my life I'm goin' crazy
Double back go insane we still fine
Yuh, yuh, yuh
Holding you down for the rain storm
Dream 'bout my angels to stay warm
Flying away take me so far
Going thru the phases, my problems in my pockets
Watching movies got me faded I love when you call in
Singing my life on the same songs
Why you listen to me when the vibe's off
Living in a mess
Wonder when you coming home I'm getting dressed
Off my pills moving slow ain't no question
You selling out and now I'm next up
Feelin' blessed up
Feel your skin stop getting nervous
Shrug it off go drink some water I'm your person
Can you take me to the old days?
Them old days like yesterday
Sunny skies then now it's too late
Ay yo i'm never wit da drama
Trouble with my commas
Made it out the school, I'm chillin' with my partnas
Not into designer, design it for a dollar
Lot of fakes lying, none of that I'm buying
Plans with no beats, no babies like Plan B
Over these hoes that's past me, studio time to make heat
Nah, I'm helping out my mama, following my father
It's never too late, look ahead for heaven's gates bruh
Living in a mess
Wonder when you coming home I'm getting dressed
Off my pills moving slow ain't no question
You selling out and now I'm next up
Feelin' blessed up
Feel your skin stop getting nervous
Shrug it off go drink some water I'm your person
Can you take me to the old days?
Them old days like yesterday
Sunny skies then now it's too late
The lyrics of A-3's song "Roll Something Up" delve into the artist's inner thoughts and emotions, offering a glimpse into their struggles and desires.
In the first verse, A-3 expresses the feeling of being stuck and lost in their thoughts, unsure of what to think or do next. They mention taking on lies and feeling the weight of it, indicating that they have been dealing with deception and falsehood. Despite this, they are determined to stay in control and not let themselves be overwhelmed.
The chorus emphasizes the desire for connection and companionship. A-3 wants to roll up (smoke weed) with someone, indicating a desire for relaxation and escape from the pressures of life. They question if they are on the same page with their romantic partner and express weariness of pretending to be okay when it's not true. The nights spent on Facetime signify a long-distance relationship, and A-3 conveys a longing for physical presence.
In the second verse, A-3 reflects on the challenges faced in their life. They mention driving fast and wasting time, possibly indicating a reckless approach to dealing with their problems. They admit to going crazy without their partner and acknowledge the ups and downs they go through together. Despite the difficulties, they are willing to hold on and confront the obstacles together.
The bridge highlights A-3's struggles with self-medication and addiction. They mention being off their pills and moving slowly, implying a struggle with substance abuse. However, they find solace and support in their partner, who helps them shake off their nervousness and provides emotional grounding. A-3 asks their partner if they can go back to the "old days," referring to a simpler and happier time in their relationship.
Overall, "Roll Something Up" explores themes of self-reflection, longing for connection, and navigating personal struggles. A-3 opens up about their battles with deception, addiction, and mental health while also seeking solace and support from their partner. The lyrics portray a journey towards self-discovery and finding stability amidst chaos.
