Indeed, the best way to feel safe is to rest assured in the knowledge you have the right to defend yourself. You can't "feel safe" if you can't defend yourself - they go hand-in-hand. I don't "feel safe" knowing there are cops "somewhere out there with a gun" when I am faced with danger. I "feel safe" when I have a gun and can put the danger in the ground if need be.

The SKS fires the 7.62x39 round that is used in the "assault weapon" AK-47. It has an internal mag of 5 rounds, and can take 10, 20 and 30 round magazines. It's used all over the world and very commonly in the south as a very effective hunting rifle for deer and hog. If it can drop a 250lbs pissed off wild boar I would put it firmly in the "lethal" category.

This is what happens when voting becomes a corrupt popularity contest and some states require an ID to vote and some don't. It's harder to get on a plane in this country than it is to help decide our it's ran.
