This issue is a message won’t do anything many of these obese people who eat free or very close to that 350 lb weight is an addiction . The addiction usually derives from a broken mental state wether it be depression , lack of self esteem , feeling of the point of no return and the glutonous eating brings them a sense of happiness this is what the owner and people need to understand. Is the owner being honest ? Yes I respect him for that but he’s very naive in thinking that he’s sending a message for people to get and expect them to change their lives/eating habits

What he should be doing is if people over 350 want to eat for free they should be registered to self help programs with record showing them going on a weekly basis . Least there will be some incentive for them to seek help as twisted as it may sound

The "Heart Attack Grill" restaurant has motivated me to take care of myself, stick to my diet, and make sure I never become so unhealthy that the restauranteur offers me the opportunity to take part in his marketing gimmicks. The namesake restaurant actually sends a very positive message: "If you don't take care of yourself today, you might find yourself eating a free meal at my restaurant in the not-so-distant future... because everyone over 350 lbs. eats for free." It's not just about weight. You cant just eat bad cause your skinny and have genetics to be thin. Your still clogging your arteries if you eat bad food. You could be jacked if you work out and eat terrible. Your arteries and organs can still get hurt from that. I'm not even talking about roids or supplements. I'm saying if you take none of that and are in good shape. Your organs are still being killed if you eat bad. I know plenty of thin people who have diabetes, have liver or heart problems. People arent getting it just cause your body is in shape does not mean your organs are.

He’s not even really evil imo. Every fast food chain is doing the exact same thing, he’s just being honest and up front about it, which is respectable. As he said, these are adults purchasing a legal substance from him, completely voluntarily. It sends a much needed message, that eating in such a way will literally kill you. I’m type one diabetic, I’ve seen many endocrinologists and dieticians, and they all say the same thing as this guy, just in a bit more of a gentle way lol. Honestly, props to him.

Left out of the story is how he went from an owner of a small chain of fitness clubs to churning out the most unhealthy food possible. He owned a chain called "In and Out Fitness", promoting how people can live healthier in a fast paced world. He was sued by In-N-Out Burger for copyright. They almost bankrupted him and his family. So he decided to join the fast food club that tried to ruin him yet still exposes how unhealthy it is by pulling back the curtain on what it takes to make this kind of food. @Carson Creel It's already been shown that shaming people or treating people like freaks (as he does) due to their size does not help with weight loss, in fact it does quite the opposite. The mind and body are connected, and poor mental health and shame makes it even harder to improve physical health (and vice versa). So, treating people the way he does is not helpful, it's detrimental. Whether he has a point or not regarding people's longevity, he's contributing to the problem.

To all those who say: "The owner should be ashamed of himself!", let me just point out two things:
1 - He's not force-feeding anyone, all the customers come to the restaurant on their own will.

Dudes backstory that led to this is kinda sad. At first he owned a gym and promoted good health and fitness. He cared about people and did his best to help them be healthy. Sadly a big good chain sued him because his name was too similar to the restaurants. The food chain won and put him out of business, after he saw that money was what ruled he changed his way of business. In a way he still promotes good health in a dark way. You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.

For some crazy kind of reasoning I sort of agree with this guy, it’s somewhat similar to watching a bunch of grotesque, obese documantaries. They do seem to work as motivation and it certainly did so for me, watching people eat like they do at this restaurant really makes me want to stay away from this kind of ”food” and also makes me more aware of my health, these people who eat there everyday are essentially bait / lab-mice that shows the general public what happens to you if you eat like these people.
