Beyond
Aaron & Jeoffrey Lyrics

Restless days stand in a clouded haze
Before my weary eyes
As I pray your kingdom come
Like a thief in the night
You know this world can be unkind sometimes
When you don't bow to its whims
But one day you'll take me far from here
Where the sun never dims

Beyond my eyes
Beyond the sky
Where tears turn to hope
And hope's the way of life
Beyond my fears
Beyond here
Beyond the realm of time and space
I'll see Jesus face to face
Beyond, beyond

I know some souls who made it there
Oh God, I miss them so
They traded in their earthly cares
To kneel before your throne
But if I could see them now
I know they'd cheer me on
Down this narrow road I'm traveling on
That leads me home
That leads me home

Beyond my eyes
Beyond the sky
Where tears turn to hope
And hope's the way of life
Beyond my fears
Beyond here
Beyond the realm of time and space
I'll see Jesus face to face
Beyond, beyond

Played this song at my dad's funeral. What a perfect song in times of sharing God's love. I miss you dad! You have seen Jesus face to face now for 17 years! Love your son, Jeff

These 2 put on a concert that I went to about 20 years ago. I was young, and told Jeoffrey about some of my struggles when I had the chance to meet him. We talked for a short while 1 on 1. He was so kind and loving. I hope these guys are well. 💟

I miss those simpler times. Back in the day, you used to be able to approach these guys one on one after a concert and chat for a bit. I did that with Russ Lee from NewSong and Annie Herring from 2nd Chapter of Acts once, too-- great brother and sister! I recently thought to take my kids to see For King & Country because they love their music-- the upcoming concert is next month and it's an outrageous fortune just to sit through a baseball game and see the concert post-game show. They have these crazy various tiers of tickets for closer and closer proximity, VIP, meet and greet the band tickets! It's all a pop celebrity show these days. Artists have no genuine interest in ministering to their audience unless people are opening their wallets good and wide for them to dip their hands into them-- paying for access! What a ridiculous thing they're teaching kids nowadays! That's not ministry-- it's all staged shows and flashing lights performances and pay for backstage passes to meet and greet the band!!

I can't tell you how many concerts I went to where I got to meet the band members just hanging around the church or venue stages after concerts back in the 90s. I supposed it helped being part of the church crew helping with sound and stage setups, but it was the same for the congregants as well. Such, it seems, is no longer the case. Sad state this age of celebritized church idols is, instead of down to earth people!
