Although "Scherzino" is perhaps, in the name, referring to lightheartedness or even a joke-like happy atmosphere I feel very clear the underlying melancholy as in fact in all the five, or at least first four of the Preludios Americanos. A wonderful lighthearted melancholy with a lot of comfort coming from the beautiful sound of the guitar, to wich Carlevaro gave his unique voice. Addicting melancholy from a great composer so happy with his guitar. Scherzino is the friendly smile on a real Master's face. In fact melancholy is happyness.
