The lyrics in Aeiou's "Vivimos in L.A." tell a story about leaving behind a life that has become too dangerous or unstable, in order to start fresh. The bird accepting the bribe could represent a way out or a symbol of luck. The singer, accompanied by the bird, escape in the night and now as the sun rises, they are flying high, never to return. These lyrics also suggest that the person has done something that they feel they must hide, perhaps from the law, society or personal demons that they need to escape.
The chorus, "You do know what they think about us? You do know that they wanna hang us?" speaks to the paranoia that comes with feeling like you are being watched or judged. The person believes that they are in danger and must change their name, dispose of any clues of their past and essentially start anew with a new identity. The line "Feels like feels like felony" implies that they have committed a crime or about to commit one. "Vivimos in L.A." could be a reference to the dangerous, fast-paced lifestyle that Los Angeles can offer or it could be a literal location of where the story takes place. The song ends with a lighthearted line, "Don’t call me mijo cause I’m not your son. Call me papito. The papito from the block."
