I have fibromyalgia, advanced state. Sleep is increasingly hard to come by and restful sleep almost impossible. I just had a sleep study last week after my doctor ordered one. It was determined I am desaturating into the mid 80s. That was an eye opener. Under the recommendation of a RT my wife who is an RN advised a bunch of the RTs are taping their mouths at night. I have tried it for the last few nights with a marked improvement upon awakening. I also have a mouth piece. I'm anxious to see how it works. Thank you.

You also need to start fasting and adopt a healthy vegan diet and try an amine diet.

I find this discussion extremely interesting as my bride tells me that she sometimes hears me gasping for air and I notice me mouth breathing and quickly close it which tells me I am awake somewhat to sense this and think about it or, perhaps it is automatic? Yet I generally wake up ready to get up, motivated and full of energy.

The one statement from the interviewer I found problematic is: "evolutionary designed." A HUGE oxymoron statement for sure. Evolution implies 'by chance' or 'by best performance' whereas 'by design' implies intelligence or a thought process as to better function.

No such thing as "evolutionary design !!" It is all by design.

Ascribing intention to evolution is not unusual.

But I agree—it is a process, not a designer.

Folks with less of a grounding in science could get confused by this phrasing.

if there is inflamation in the airways the jaw will hang open at night. The jaw should be partially clenched during that time. The maxilla grows vertically exacerbating the problem.
