But we can pretend for one more weekend
We can act as if we're back in the past for this weekend.

We said forever
We promised to be together for a long time.

Never thought our time together'd ever stop
We believed that we'll be together indefinitely.

But it did and we're not kids anymore
Our time together ended, and we grew up.

I've got our photos in a drawer
I still have our photos stored in a drawer.

People don't keep those anymore
Nowadays, people tend to keep photos online rather than physically.

But I did, can't get rid of who we were before
But I still kept them, as they remind me of our past selves.

Monday will wash away the fantasies
After the weekend is over, the reality of the present will set in.

We'll have to go back and face reality
We'll have to return back to our regular life and responsibilities.

But we've got forever between now and then
But we still have plenty of time to reminisce and create new memories.

We can pretend
We can act as if we're still together in the past.
