In the 14th century in little village lived a widow named Ofelia d'Arc
There was a widow named Ofelia d'Arc who lived in a small village during the 14th century.

She was a herbalist, looking for a way to save her only child
Ofelia was a herbalist who was trying to find a cure for her sick child.

But the locals believe that the lord is the only one who can cure
The villagers believed that only God could cure diseases.

It's unnatural to intervene gods work, it's the devils work!
The villagers thought that interfering with God's will is an unnatural act and that it was the work of the devil.

She has never done anything but given her utmost love for her child
Ofelia has always shown nothing but love towards her child.

If she wouldn't have used the medicine, her child would have died
The herbal medicine that Ofelia gave her child saved the child's life.

But the towns people, they don't understand. It's heresy for them!
The villagers did not understand the herbal medicine that Ofelia used and considered it heresy.

And therefore she shall face her consequences in the trials
Ofelia had to face trial because of her use of herbal medicine.

They took her to the cathedral
Ofelia was taken to the cathedral for trial.

Where she will get her last absolution
Ofelia's last confession will be taken at the cathedral.

All are gathered to witness this charade
The villagers gathered to witness the trial.

As if this was some sort of waited leisure
It seemed as though the trial was some sort of entertainment for the villagers.

"It's time for you to repent your sins now if you wish to join the heavenly father"
Ofelia was told to repent her sins if she wished to go to heaven.

"But what about my child?" "You'll meet him again soon enough! Hahahahaha!!"
When Ofelia asked about her child, she was told in a mocking manner that she would meet him soon enough in the afterlife.

"We are here to sentence you for the witchcraft
Ofelia was sentenced for witchcraft.

I am high priest I am the highest law in here
The high priest declared himself to be the highest law in the cathedral.

You are accused for witchcraft and heresy
Ofelia was accused of practicing witchcraft and heresy.

How do you plead you wretched witch?
Ofelia was asked to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges of witchcraft and heresy.

Therefore I judge you to burn in the stake
The high priest's verdict was to burn Ofelia at the stake.

We shall cleanse her soul with fire and fate
The villagers believed that by burning Ofelia at the stake, they would cleanse her soul.

She shall be reborn as a child of Jesus
The villagers believed that by burning Ofelia at the stake, she would be reborn as a child of Jesus.

BE GONE YOU SATAN FROM THIS CHILD!!"
Before burning Ofelia at the stake, the high priest shouted for Satan to leave her child.

As the fires turns a flame you can hear her screams of pain
The sound of Ofelia's screams could be heard as she burned at the stake.

The towns people, they laugh, they think that this is fun
The villagers found her burning to be amusing and funny.

In a sudden, her child runs into the flames to her mother
Suddenly, Ofelia's child ran into the flames to be with her mother.

She curses the whole village, death will come to everyone of you
Ofelia cursed the whole village before dying and wished that death would come to everyone in the village.

A few years later black death came to the village
A few years later, the black death swept through the village.

Everyone died in a slow and painful way
Everyone in the village died painfully and slowly from the black death.

Nothing was left behind in this godforsaken town
The village was completely destroyed and nothing was left.

There won't be no afterlife for these hypocrites whores
There will be no afterlife for the hypocritical villagers who burned Ofelia at the stake.
