No Excuses
Air France Lyrics

Waiting to fail, but not quite yet
The lyrics in Air France's song "No Excuses" express a sense of weariness and resignation towards the demands of life. The phrase "no excuses left" suggests that the singer has exhausted all possible justifications or explanations for their actions or lack thereof. This could be interpreted as a confession of culpability or a plea for understanding. The second line, "waiting to fail, but not quite yet," implies a certain fatalism and a sense of inevitability to the singer's predicament. It indicates a recognition of their own shortcomings and limitations, but also a determination to persevere until they are unable to do so any longer.
This sense of resignation is further underscored by the dreamy, melancholy atmosphere of the song's instrumentation. The ambient synths and gentle percussion create a sense of drifting, as if the singer is adrift in their own thoughts and unable to fully engage with the world around them. The sparse, echoing vocals add to this feeling of detachment, as if the singer is barely bothering to articulate their own thoughts and feelings.

I'm not sure how long it's been, but years certainly. The other day it came to me in a quiet moment. A vision of the cold ocean, and memories of calm in leaner times.
I didn't need to hear the music again, I could recall it vividly enough, but I thought, it might be nice.

Incredible. They took a sloppy, blown out day with terrible light and gutless windswell and made it look absolutely AMAZING. Every surf movie director should bow down to this crew.

I think Air France may be the best thing out there right now.

I recently discovered Air France's music, and it filled up a void in my heart. This is truly beautiful!
soon I started to look further from the No Way Down album, feeling really optimistic, and it broke my heart to learn that they announced their break up in 2012 and never really released anything too big...
:/... anyway, beautiful music, the little amount that there is :)
