I Love You
Akiko Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
what would I do
Try to brighten the world
with snowflake hue
Make today a heavenly place
That just can't be erased
But I am so small I melt away
breaks earth's silence
Another day is here
with all its innocence
The sun is rising on the horizon
Will we waste it
like we alvays have done
In name of god we conquer
A faithful friend we call nature
In name of pain
our tears are shed
Screamin' we've been misled
Can you love and save your rival
Can you prove love's miracle
It's about time
we all came together as one
Leavin' our egos at home
As the twilght comes creepin'
I can hear some cold hearts
quietly weepin'
Oh tell me, why can't we rejoice
That each one of us
has a different voice
Will we ever realize
That jealousy's in our very eyes
Oh when will we ever learn
Acceptance's got to be earned
You can love and save your rival
You can prove love's miracle
We all have to remember
The world we once knew
Leaving'our egos at home
Make this world a better place
Like we all once knew how
Let's find our way back home
Take a moment to remember
Another day is here
with all its innocence
Take a moment to remember
The world with all
its love and splendor
Take a moment to remember
Another day is here
with all its innocence
Take a moment to remember
The world with all
its love and splendor
The lyrics to Akiko's song "I Love You" convey a strong message of unity, compassion, and the need for positive change in the world. The opening verse reflects on the desire to make a difference if given another chance at life. The singer envisions brightening the world with a metaphorical "snowflake hue," symbolizing purity and beauty. However, the singer feels small and insignificant, "melting away" in the face of the challenges.
The following verse highlights the contrast between the peacefulness of a new day breaking and the human tendency to waste opportunities for growth and connection. It criticizes the destructive actions carried out in the name of religion and the pain caused by misguided decisions. The lyrics ask whether we can truly love and save our rivals, acknowledging the transformative power of love.
The third verse continues to emphasize the need for unity and the consequences of jealousy and lack of acceptance. It challenges our perception and urges us to learn from past mistakes. The lyrics suggest that love can coexist with our differences and that we should leave our egos behind to come together as one.
The final verse calls on listeners to make a conscious effort to create a better world, reminiscent of a time when love and kindness were fundamental. It encourages finding our way back home, not necessarily a physical place, but a state of mind where we remember the importance of love, compassion, and the splendor present in the world.
Overall, the lyrics of "I Love You" serve as a heartfelt reminder of the need for love, acceptance, and unity in a world often divided by ego, jealousy, and destructive actions. It urges listeners to reflect on their own role in creating a better world and remember the beauty that exists when we come together as one.
