Dance!
Let your body go
You know you can do it
Like thee
(ee-ne-me-ne-manny-mo)
There's really nothing to it
Repeat Intro
(1st Tag)
You can do it
And you know that you can
There's nothing to it
Just go ahead and do your dance
Repeat 1st Tag
(Chorus)
Get up and do your thing
(You know you can do it)
And don't you feel your shame
(There's really nothing to it)
(2nd Tag)
You know you can do it
So get up and move your body to it
Don't be 'fraid to do your thing
No such words as being shame
Everybody, boogy tonight

The song "It's You" by Al Hudson encourages listeners to let go of their inhibitions and dance freely. The energetic and playful tone of the lyrics serves to evoke a sense of liberation through movement. The lyrics stress that anyone can dance, regardless of their level of skill, and that there is no need to be self-conscious.
The first tag of the song emphasizes the idea that there is nothing to fear when it comes to dancing, and that everyone is capable of doing it. The repetition of this motif throughout the song stresses the importance of letting go of one's inhibitions and surrendering to the rhythm. The chorus reinforces this, encouraging listeners to get up and dance without fear of judgment or shame.
The second tag reinforces the idea that dancing is an activity that should be undertaken without any sense of shame or self-consciousness. The playful wordplay in the line "No such words as being shame" further emphasizes this notion. The final line of the second tag, "Everybody, boogy tonight," encourages listeners to let loose and enjoy the moment.
Overall, "It's You" is a fun and upbeat song that encourages listeners to let go of their inhibitions and embrace the joy of dance.

What I find interesting is a year after this record was released
Leon Haywood produced a very similar sounding musical piece
he called 'Don't Push It, Don't Force It' link below and it reminded
me of the argument used against sampling by musicians. So at
what point in the music industry was there a time when no one
was infringing on someone else's musical work?

Same situation when it comes to songs like 'Inside Out' By
Odyssey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIXK6u2bHTg
and the group Slave and their song Watching You link below:

Sampling has always been a part of the music industry way way
before musical samplers were invented.

Definitely one of the 10 best disco/funk grooves. All instruments are played at the right place and the good moment. Heard 1000 times and enjoy always this piece of cake! I'm 51 and I think we never done better since. Thanks to Bruno Mars for trying to do something that looks like this... ;-)

It sounds as fresh as the day I first heard it. One Way and Al Hudson were on the cutting edge when they emerged in the late 70s. This was the first tune that I ever heard by them.
