Wake up
You've just now entered into the next level
The new world of funk
As we do it one time
Creeping through the fog, who dat y'all
(A A L I Y A H)
Creeping through the fog, who dat y'all
I've got the beats for da streets
(A A L I Y A H)
Everything I make is so unique, hey
(A A L I Y A H)
Say hey, if you down with me
(Hey, L I Y A H)
If you step to me there's no need
(A A L I Y A H)
Creeping through the fog, who dat y'all
Damn, she be the bomb, damn
(Say what?)
Creeping through the fog, who dat y'all
Dang, damn, she be da bomb
Wake up
Goodnight
The lyrics of Alan Braxe & Fred Falke's song "Intro" feature a tribute to the late R&B singer Aaliyah. The song begins with an announcement that Aaliyah has entered "the new world of funk," a nod to her innovative style and influential impact on the genre. The phrase "creeping through the fog, who dat y'all" is repeated multiple times, with "Aaliyah" spelled out in between. This may symbolize the singer's emergence from the shadows and her presence in the world of music, despite her early death.
The lyrics also touch on Aaliyah's musical style, with the line "Everything I make is so unique." The tribute to Aaliyah concludes with the lines "Damn, she be the bomb," a popular expression at the time that affirmed her status as a trailblazing artist. The song ends with the line "goodnight," suggesting that while Aaliyah's legacy lives on, her time on earth was cut short.

Finally. Got it. Just caught it in the local supermarket (why?), shazam'd it to get the title. Over Twenty years ago, I recorded this on tape with my fisher-price cassette player, using the mic to capture live radio. Since then, no way to get it back... until today :)

I know exactly how you feel!!!! I had another track stuck in my head and couldn’t find it for years. Once I did , I overused it!!! 😃 This is a fantastic track tho, no wonder you were looking for it for so long. 🥰 Reminds me of Paris 2018, they played it in a nightclub that night. Great memories.
