Just as alchemy was the practice of turning something worthless into something priceless, Alchemilla attempts to create something beautiful from nothing. Swirling, infectious vocal hooks are coupled with driving rhythms and controlled distortion to produce a style of melodic hard rock that is aggresive yet thoughtful. Sociological lyrics contain political undertones with a blend of sarcastic optimism.

Bleeder
Alchemilla Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
and you're so shocked by
the concequence
Difficult; it's over your head
And actions show lack of confidence
But the Bleeder will be drowning here
The Bleeder soaks in all the fear
You're falling behind
And what you choose is
To waste your life
But the Bleeder will be drowning here
The Bleeder soaks in all the fear
I'm too harsh.
I take it back.
The lyrics to Alchemilla's song Bleeder address the theme of the consequences of minimal effort and lack of confidence. The first two lines suggest that the subject is not putting in enough effort, and they are surprised when things do not go as planned. The next line suggests that the situation is difficult and beyond their ability to understand or handle. The lack of confidence is then reinforced by the subject's subsequent actions. The chorus is focused on the Bleeder, who may represent the consequences of inaction or lack of effort, and may also be a reference to the subject's internal struggles. The Bleeder is soaking in all the fear, which could mean that the consequences of inaction, or the internal struggles, are becoming more intense and consuming.
The second verse indicates that the subject is falling behind and not making good choices, leading to a wasted life. The chorus is repeated, emphasizing that the Bleeder is drowning and collecting all the fear, which could be interpreted as an indication that something significant will happen if the subject does not change their ways. The last line of the song, "I'm too harsh. I take it back," could suggest that the singer is expressing empathy for the subject and retracts any harsh criticism.
Overall, the lyrics to Bleeder are about the consequences of inaction, lack of effort, and lack of confidence. The Bleeder may represent the internal struggle of the subject, and the accumulation of fear and anxiety. The song appears to be cautionary, warning listeners that if they do not put in the effort and address their fears, they may find themselves consumed by them.
