Revival
Aldous Harding Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I′m saved, I'm saved
And ooh, would you believe it?
On the third day
I felt his presence near me

I know they won′t believe me
I've got favorite memories
I know they won't

They′ll still believe me

I′m saved, I'm saved
And ooh, could you believe it?
You won′t regret
If you choose to believe it

Freedom, silence, always
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah

I'm saved, I′m saved
And ooh, would you believe it?
On the third day
I felt his presence near me

Darkness always

It doesn't make much sense
I know they won′t

Cover or no cover, Aldous could sing Baa Baa black sheep and make it hauntingly compelling , Artist of the Decade, been listening to 4AD's incredible roster of talent for thirty odd years and Ms Harding is the finest.

Well said. I've been kind of disappointed at some of this label's talent recently but I'm a faithful fallower from way back. I just can't relate with a lot of it. Aldous captured my heart immediately. Some of her songs are so emotionally driven I can't even listen to them without erupting in tears. She captures human emotion in great detail. I think music is the highest expression of human art and the highest expression of the human soul we are capable of in this condition. To find a master is beyond rare! Let's hope and pray her demons don't come back and take her from us like so many brilliant minds before her. I will respect her art untill the day I die!
