Que en lugar de huir de ti
Te pido ayuda
Mira si me has hecho enloquecer
Que en lugar de aborrecerte
Te deseo
Tu te aprovechas de mi
Y yo te amo
Vamos a decirlo de una vez
Como puedes tu ser libre
Mientras yo soy Preso
De la carcel de tus besos
De tu forma de hacer eso
A lo que llamas Amor
Preso, Abrazando tus cadenas
Condenado a lo que quieras
Y hasta que quieras Amor
Mira si estoy tonto de verdad
Que pienso que si obras mal
Es culpa mia
Mira si me has hecho no ser yo
Que en lugar de hacerte daño
Te protejo
Vamos a decirnos la verdad
Si te pudiera borrar
Te borraria
Vamos a decirlo de una vez
Tu me tratas como quieres
Mientras yo soy Preso
De la carcel de tus besos
De tu forma de hacer eso
A lo que llamas Amor
Preso, Abrazando tus cadenas
Condenado a lo que quieras
Y hasta que quieras Amor
Preso, De la carcel de tus besos
De tu forma de hacer eso
A lo que llamas Amor
Preso, Abrazando tus cadenas
Condenado a lo que quieras
Y hasta que quieras Amor
The lyrics of Aleks Syntek's "Preso" delve into the complexities of love and the power dynamics that are often present in relationships. The singer opens by declaring his love for someone, emphasizing just how crazy he is for them. He then admits that despite the intense feelings, he feels trapped and enslaved by the person he loves so much. Rather than running away from them, he seeks their help, suggesting that the relationship is more of a co-dependency than a true partnership.
As the song progresses, the singer pleads with his partner to acknowledge the truth of their situation. He recognizes that he is being taken advantage of but is unable to let go of his feelings. The metaphor of being a prisoner of his partner's love is particularly striking, as he imagines himself trapped in chains and unable to break free from their grasp.
Despite the bleakness of the situation, the song ends on a note of resignation. The singer acknowledges that he is willing to remain a prisoner of love until his partner is ready to release him. Ultimately, "Preso" speaks to the many contradictory emotions that arise in romantic relationships and the difficulties that can come with trying to untangle them.
