BRAND NEW DAY
Alex Lloyd Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When you feel as though your falling
Every fear you can confide
When the night time is your dawning
Hard to see through troubled eyes

What you wanted so
Had to let it go
Brand new day is coming round the bend
Troubles reaching for the end
If you stray from the path my friend
I will pick you up again

Hard to wake up in the morning
Hard to see through so much light
With every dream you've had gone calling
Makes it harder to believe

What you wanted so
Had to let it go

Brand new day is coming round the bend
Troubles reaching for the end
If you stray from the path my friend
I will pick you up again
I will pick you up again
Troubles reaching for the end

Everything that starts must end
Reaching for a new beginning
Everything that starts must end
Reaching for a new beginning

Brand new day is coming round the bend
Troubles reaching for the end
If you stray from the path my friend
I will pick you up again
I will pick you up again
Troubles reaching for the end

Said I'm lonely won't you let me in
I'm longing for the day...

There's a story that no one knows about this clip....

Firstly to answer someone's question on here, it is not from a film.

Secondly, I actually directed and produced "The First Music Video" for this song, however Sony decided to not release it....

The clip that I made is probably the music video that I am most proud of ever having made. The reason it wasn't released was because the guy at Sony I was dealing with flew to where I was filming for the day but then took off to "have lunch with the girls from L'Oreal", and then upon seeing the finished edit of the music video he straight up said to me that Alex "looked too fat".

I still have the master copy of the clip in a lock up cage for safety with my other projects, but far easier to access are many of the photos of the wonderful set that was built for the clip. My builders actually physically built A HOUSE and then the clip was all filmed in one-take on a 35mm steadicam.

The only issue is that I don't know that you can attach photos to this messages - hit me back if you want to see though.

This song, every time I hear it, it takes me back to a hard yet memorable time in my life, I first heard it in December 2020 at the end of Flash, the Flash game Ray Part 3 - Introduction, the end has this song playing, and I remember being so mesmerized, it's like God telling me everything will be ok, that, and it being the first song I listened to in 2021, which was a really great year to me, I wish I hadn't removed the original comment I wrote here in 2020, but this here will hopefully be there to hold a candle to it, despite the hardship, a brand new day will hopefully come up to let us smile.

I saw this guy in Shepherds Bush, London UK, he was supporting my hero Jeff Healey on just this one concert! So, I am very lucky to have been there , as I would never have known about this awesome performer . It was in 2001 . I couldn't remember his name , only remembered he had a boogie box on stage.. so I googled the arse out of it, and found him last year!! Absolutely brilliant, and have now purchased every cd possible of his ...Love him !! ❤️😊
