with which he composed three studio albums:

Alexander Ebert released a solo album in 2011 titled "Alexander"
In 2013 he composed the soundtrack for the movie "All is Lost" starring Robert Redford.
Also in 2013 he won a Grammy with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros for the video / documentary Big Easy Express.
January 12, 2014 Alex Ebert was honored with a Golden Globe for best soundtrack in a movie, "All is Lost"

This music helps me a lot to not being an asshole. Just imagine that some idiot comes to you, and start to annoy you really, really bad to the point you want to kick him in the face. But with this music on that just can't happen. Life is too good when you listen to this. Just peace , love and dance.

'Turned onto this after reading a High Country News article by Cally Carswell in the 1/19/2015 issue of HCN, which led me to read more about Tim DeChristopher in Wikipedia, where I read about this song. Wow I love Ima Robot and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros but only just now discovered that ALEXANDER EBERT is the frontman for both. Didn't know he was Edward Sharpe. Hahaha. Love his new stuff.
