The new album, I Dare You, was a collaborative effort between Ali and a group of musicians who worked through each song in the studio and recorded live from the floor. Then, to really capture the essence of the music, it was recorded to tape. The album’s completion was celebrated with a concert at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and was recorded for a national broadcast on CBC Radio 2’s “Canada Live” to air in early 2010. Ali recorded her new album at Armoury Studios in Vancouver, collaborating and co-writing songs with the likes of Shaun Verreault (lead singer, Wide Mouth Mason) and Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams’ writing partner).
