We're living in a world

The people speaking out about these issues

make us feel mired
Hang us down in despair and anguish

No one seems to know the solutions

who can tell us why some people have to starve
We don't know why some people suffer while others don't

and some people are being crowned

Our inability to solve these issues leads to a decrease in empathy and compassion

and leaves us like we're outdone
The issues at hand seem insurmountable and indomitable

We need to disabuse
We need to free ourselves from false beliefs

Those who want to choose
Those who are willing to make a change

And never stop but carry on
And continue to push forward and work towards finding solutions

Why do we only see things we want to see
Why do we tend to overlook certain issues, only seeing what benefits us?

Does in need got to be freed
Shouldn't we prioritize helping those in need?
