Hushabye Mountain
Alice Fredenham Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A gentle breeze from Hushabye Mountain
Softly blows o'er Lullaby bay
It fills the sails of boats that are waiting
Waiting, to sail your worries away

It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain
And your boat waits down by the quay
The winds of night, so softly are sighing
Soon they will fly your troubles to sea

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain
Wave goodbye, to cares of the day
Watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain
Sail far away from Lullaby Bay

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain
Wave goodbye, to cares of the day

Watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain
Sail far away from Lullaby Bay

Music for film and TV

Alice Fredenham's talents are insulted by this CD. Her amazing voice is buried behind overbearing productions. She deserves so much better. Aparently her producers missed her TV debut and the essence of her talent and mystique.

-- I agree . . . buried!

Music for film and TV couldn’t agree with you more. A crap manager and producer have torpedoed many a promising career.

Soon as I listened to this I thought "Whaaaaat!!!!" - All this girl needs is a piano (or perhaps guitar) and her voice - I know she wants to be retro and I get the arrangements are retro (although poorly mixed) but it would be nice to hear her voice with a modern twist in the arrangement to not only compliment her voice but to take the genre to a new level....such a shame!! I really don't want to knock her because I feel she has something and I hope she finds the right person/people to guide her...

Agreed. When I bought this years agi I don't think I have ever been so disappointed. Why do producers get it wrong so often and the companies I always dictating to the artist. Alice's voice is naturally inclined to beautiful smoky standards such as My Funny Valentine, Cry Me a River, God Bless the Child. She has a beautiful voice which this cd basically trashed. I hope she was able to recover from this misstep.
