Far From Here
Alissa Moreno Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Look for a star and wish
You could get out of it
Bite down and then pray, pray, pray
You'll make it through this to sing and say
You hold life dear
And now I'm
Far from here, and we are happy
Far from here, we are all right
Far from here, things are peaceful
Far from here, we have insight
Far from here, we've detangles
Our strangled hold
And I hope to see you there
Rise high out of this whole scene
Look down and separate yourself
From your worst dream
Then fly far and then stay, stay, stay
Out of the way until the coast
Is clear and safe
Moments turn to hours that become years
And now I'm
Far from here, and we are happy
Far from here, we are all right
Far from here, things are peaceful
Far from here, we have insight
Far from here, we've detangled
Our strangled hold
And I hope to see you there
Oh, it's hard to imagine
The things that we survive
Will we understand it all
One day when we arrive?
Far from here, and we are happy
Far from here, we are all right
Far from here, things are peaceful
Far from here, we have insight
Far from here, we are laughing
Far from here, we are thankful
Far from here, we're forgiven
And for that we are grateful
Far from here, we've detangled
Our strangled hold
And I hope to see you there
I'll see you there
The song "Far From Here" by Alissa Moreno talks about persevering through difficult times and finding peace and happiness in a better place. The opening lines encourage us to fight hard and wish upon a star to escape the hardships of the present. The following lines suggest that we should keep moving forward and hold our lives dear. Despite the challenges we face, we must stay strong and pray that we make it through to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The song suggests that time flies by and that the struggles we go through become mere moments that turn into hours that then become years. However, by staying hopeful and resilient, we can eventually make it to a better place, far from the troubles of the past.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Far from here" over and over again. This repetition emphasizes the desire to leave behind the hardships and pain of the present and move towards a place of peace and happiness. The song suggests that in that better place, we will have gained insight and detangled ourselves from the problems that once held us back. The lyrics ask us to visualize ourselves in that place, flying high and looking down on our troubles, and to stay there until it's safe to come back. Finally, the song acknowledges that the difficulties we face are hard to imagine and asks whether we will understand them one day when we arrive.
