Forget About It
All Time Low Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One, two, three

You, are a handful of roses
Thorns in a cheap bouquet
True, I'm a walkin' disaster
They told you to stay away
Seems like I'm makin' a deal with the devil
Who's whispering softly to me
"Are you sure that she's the one?"

'Cause I feel like a bad joke
Walk the tight rope to hold on to you
Was it real?
Or a love scene, from a bad dream?
I don't think I can forget about it

You, are a shining example
Of why I don't sleep at all
T-t-too many sheep on the brain
To make sense of the late night call
Talkin' in circles and chasing the tail
Of a love drunk distant memory
Am I sure that she's the one?

'Cause I feel like a bad joke
Walk the tight rope to hold on to you
(I gotta know) Was it real?
Or a love scene, from a bad dream?
I don't think, I can forget about it
(Gotta know was it real?)

You know there are some days
When I really feel like this could work
Like you and I are finally gonna get it right
Then there are days like today
When you make me wanna tear my fucking hair out

'Cause I feel like a bad joke
(Like a bad joke)
Walk the tight rope to hold on to you
(Gotta know) Was it real?
Or a love scene, from a bad dream?
I don't think, I can forget about it

I feel, just like a bad joke, whoa
Gotta know, was it real?
(Waking up from a bad dream)
From a bad dream
I don't think, I can forget about it

So just forget about it
So just forget

Overall Meaning

"Forget About It" by All Time Low is a song that delves into the complexities of relationships and the difficulty in letting go of past experiences, both good and bad. The song begins with the lead singer acknowledging his flaws and insecurities, stating that he is a "walking disaster" and that he feels like he is making a deal with the devil by pursuing a romantic interest. He questions whether this person is truly the one for him, or if he is simply holding onto a love scene from a bad dream.

The chorus repeats the line "I feel like a bad joke, walk the tightrope to hold onto you" which further exemplifies the difficulty of maintaining a relationship amidst feelings of insecurity and uncertainty. The second verse shift focus to the other person in the relationship, describing them as a shining example of why the singer struggles to sleep at night. The song goes on to describe how the relationship has its good days and bad days, with moments of hope and moments of frustration.

Overall, "Forget About It" is a relatable and introspective song that explores the ups and downs of relationships and the struggle to let go of past experiences.

I love this so much because it shows that even though they're rich and famous, they're still a bunch of dorks. You can still see in them the goofy highschoolers they were when they first started and oh my god that's amazing

toto

Cuz they feel like a bad JOKE!

Same. I’m glad that they still act like their immature and goofy selves rather than letting fame get to their heads.
