I don't love ya but I need ya
Can I hold ya ...Is it alright
Tell me baby is it alright
We can spoon until the moonlight
Baby, we can stay out all night
So Come On, Come On, Come On, Come On ...Ooh Whoh
(Uh huh)
Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby (Uh huh)
Give me everything maybe
I ‘spect you like my little baby
The sky is blue, your eyes are too-oo (ooh ooh)
The moon is due, so we can bill and coo
But Come on, Come on, Come on, Come on ...Whoh
Well I could fly ya ...Up in the sky-y
We could be groovin' , bopping and movin'
We could be shaking, she didn't make it
So Come On, Come On, Come On, Come On ...Ooh
Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby (Uh huh)
Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby (Uh huh)
Give me everything maybe
I ‘spect you like my little baby
The sky is blue, your eyes are too-oo (ooh ooh)
The moon is due, so we can bill and coo
But Come on, Come on, Come on, Come on ...Whoh
(Bop-shua-wah, bop-shua-wah, Bop-shua-wah, Bop-shua-wah)
We could be groovin' , bopping and movin'
She left me shaking, she didn't make it
So Come On, Come On, Come On, Come On
Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby ...Uh huh
Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby ...Uh huh
Give me everything maybe ... Uh huha
I ‘spect you like my little baby ... Uh huh
The sky is blue, your eyes are ... oh huh
Uh huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, oh huh...ooh...Ooooh!
I don't love ya but I want ya
I don't love ya but I need ya
Can I have you, is it alright
Tell me baby is it alright
We can spoon until the moonlight
Alvin Stardust's song, "Come On", is all about a man who doesn't necessarily love the person he's with, but still wants and needs them. The chorus repeats, "I don't love ya but I want ya, I don't love ya but I need ya." This line is a representation of how many people feel in relationships or situationships. It is common for individuals to desire someone without having strong feelings of love for them.
The lyrics continue, "We can spoon until the moonlight, Baby, we can stay out all night." This line suggests that the singer wants to spend time with the person they're with, even if they don't love them. They're enjoying the moment and the company. The pre-chorus talks about kissing, "Baby, kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby. Kiss a'kiss a'kiss me baby. Give me everything, maybe." This line implies the physical connection between the two people. The second half of the pre-chorus says, "I 'spect you like my little baby." This line insinuates that the singer thinks that the other person likes them and is interested in them.
The chorus repeats again, "So Come On, Come On, Come On, Come On ...Ooh Whoh," and then the next verse starts, "Well I could fly ya ...Up in the sky-y. We could be groovin', bopping and movin'." This line talks about a fun adventure the two could go on together. The verse ends with, "She left me shaking, she didn't make it," which suggests that the singer was possibly let down or disappointed by someone before.
Finally, the song ends with the chorus repeating once more. Overall, "Come On" depicts a situation many people face, wanting to be with or desire someone but not necessarily in love with them. The song also centers around a fun and upbeat melody that encourages dancing and movement.
