Seyfried will play the lead role of Valerie in Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood. The movie is set for release on March 11, 2011. Late 2010, Seyfried was considered to play as Daisy Buchanan in the upcoming movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby, but the role went to Carey Mulligan.

The feeling right, the Paris night
Did it's best to please us
And strolling down the Elysee
We had a drink in each cafe
And you
You talked of politics, philosophy and I
Smiled like Mona Lisa
It was a fine and true romance
I can still recall our last summer
I still see it all
Walks along the Seine, laughing in the rain
Our last summer
Memories that remain
We made our way along the river
And we sat down in the grass
By the Eiffel tower
I was so happy we had met
It was the age of no regret
Oh yes
Those crazy years, that was the time
Of the flower-power
But underneath we had a fear of flying
Of getting old, a fear of slowly dying
We took the chance
Like we were dancing our last dance
I can still recall our last summer
I still see it all
In the tourist jam, round the Notre Dame
Our last summer
Walking hand in hand
Paris restaurants
Our last summer
Morning croissants
Living for the day, worries far away
Our last summer
We could laugh and play
And now you're working in a bank
The family man, the football fan
And your name is Harry
How dull it seems
Yet you're the hero of my dreams
I can still recall our last summer
I still see it all
Walks along the Seine, laughing in the rain
Our last summer
Memories that remain
I can still recall our last summer
I still see it all
In the tourist jam, round the Notre Dame
Our last summer
Walking hand in hand
Paris restaurants
Our last summer
Morning croissants
We were living for the day, worries far away
"Our Last Summer" by Amanda Seyfried is a nostalgic song that talks about a beautiful summer spent in Paris. The lyrics are about the memories of two lovers who had a summer fling in Paris years ago, and how they still remember and cherish the time they spent together. The song starts with the singer describing the warm summer air and the romantic setting of Paris. They talk about walking down the Elysee and sitting in cafes, having drinks while talking about everything from politics to philosophy. The singer feels like she's living a moment straight out of a classic French movie, and they are happy and carefree.
The song then transitions into a verse about the fears that the couple shared despite living intensely during their time together. They feared flying, getting old, and slowly dying. Despite those fears, they took a chance and lived their lives like they were dancing their last dance. The next verse talks about how the couple made their way towards the Seine river and sat down on the grass near the Eiffel Tower. They talk about how they were living in a time of "flower power" and how they had a fear of getting old, but also how they were happy to have met each other during this time. They were carefree and happy, not worrying about the future.
The chorus recounts the memories they shared walking hand-in-hand by the Seine and visiting the Notre Dame in the middle of the tourist jam. The second verse describes the mundane present-day life of one of the lovers, now a family man and football fan working in a bank. Despite this, the singer still sees him as the hero of her dreams and remembers their last summer with fondness. Overall, the song is about the memories the singer shares with her lover, and how despite time and distance, those memories remain vivid and precious.

I always liked how Sam, Bill and Harry got along and developed a friendship through their shared connection to Donna instead of being jealous over the other's relationships with her.

People keep telling how this song is most poorly sung in the whole movie but I think it sounds pretty adorable. It's the clumsy, unprofessional voices that make the song sound so natural ...
