Showcasing her rich, soulful voice, Amber-Simone's second EP is a stunning blend of neo-soul, gospel and modern R&B sounds. Explaining that the EP demonstrates a period of self-growth, Amber-Simone says “Making this project saw me through some big life changes and as a result I’d say it’s my proudest, most honest work, exploring themes like race and identity, love and the general growing pains of change. Sonically it’s taken a new energy marking my steps into womanhood, exploring a new found empowerment in writing. Black, No Sugar has been a real labour of love and a true example of how music thrives best in collaboration, featuring many amazing friends who’ve made this project possible as I took my first leap into production.”
