40 The Lord said to Job:

2 “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?
Let him who accuses God answer him!”

3 Then Job answered the Lord:

4 “I am unworthy—how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth.
5 I spoke once, but I have no answer—
twice, but I will say no more.”

6 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm:

7 “Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

8 “Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
9 Do you have an arm like God’s,
and can your voice thunder like his?
10 Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor,
and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
11 Unleash the fury of your wrath,
look at all who are proud and bring them low,
12 look at all who are proud and humble them,
crush the wicked where they stand.
13 Bury them all in the dust together;
shroud their faces in the grave.
14 Then I myself will admit to you
that your own right hand can save you.

15 “Look at Behemoth,
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.
16 What strength it has in its loins,
what power in the muscles of its belly!
17 Its tail sways like a cedar;
the sinews of its thighs are close-knit.
18 Its bones are tubes of bronze,
its limbs like rods of iron.
19 It ranks first among the works of God,
yet its Maker can approach it with his sword.
20 The hills bring it their produce,
and all the wild animals play nearby.
21 Under the lotus plants it lies,
hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
22 The lotuses conceal it in their shadow;
the poplars by the stream surround it.
23 A raging river does not alarm it;
it is secure, though the Jordan should surge against its mouth.
24 Can anyone capture it by the eyes,
or trap it and pierce its nose?

41 [a]“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook
or tie down its tongue with a rope?
2 Can you put a cord through its nose
or pierce its jaw with a hook?
3 Will it keep begging you for mercy?
Will it speak to you with gentle words?
4 Will it make an agreement with you
for you to take it as your slave for life?
5 Can you make a pet of it like a bird
or put it on a leash for the young women in your house?
6 Will traders barter for it?
Will they divide it up among the merchants?
7 Can you fill its hide with harpoons
or its head with fishing spears?
8 If you lay a hand on it,
you will remember the struggle and never do it again!
9 Any hope of subduing it is false;
the mere sight of it is overpowering.
10 No one is fierce enough to rouse it.
Who then is able to stand against me?
11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay?
Everything under heaven belongs to me.

12 “I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs,
its strength and its graceful form.
13 Who can strip off its outer coat?
Who can penetrate its double coat of armor[b]?
14 Who dares open the doors of its mouth,
ringed about with fearsome teeth?
15 Its back has[c] rows of shields
tightly sealed together;
16 each is so close to the next
that no air can pass between.
17 They are joined fast to one another;
they cling together and cannot be parted.
18 Its snorting throws out flashes of light;
its eyes are like the rays of dawn.
19 Flames stream from its mouth;
sparks of fire shoot out.
20 Smoke pours from its nostrils
as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
21 Its breath sets coals ablaze,
and flames dart from its mouth.
22 Strength resides in its neck;
dismay goes before it.
23 The folds of its flesh are tightly joined;
they are firm and immovable.
24 Its chest is hard as rock,
hard as a lower millstone.
25 When it rises up, the mighty are terrified;
they retreat before its thrashing.
26 The sword that reaches it has no effect,
nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
27 Iron it treats like straw
and bronze like rotten wood.
28 Arrows do not make it flee;
slingstones are like chaff to it.
29 A club seems to it but a piece of straw;
it laughs at the rattling of the lance.
30 Its undersides are jagged potsherds,
leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.
31 It makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron
and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 It leaves a glistening wake behind it;
one would think the deep had white hair.
33 Nothing on earth is its equal—
a creature without fear.
34 It looks down on all that are haughty;
it is king over all that are proud.”

42 Then Job replied to the Lord:

2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.

4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”

@Kolmonio 1. this is a very common argument called the Kalam Cosmological argument" Honest question, have you ever looked up 'Kalam debunked" by chance? No scientist buys into the Kalam argument. Why is it that the argument only works for Christians?
2. I reject the very premise. The 'everything has a cause' is already something we don't know. We do not KNOW that everything has a cause. We do not know if the universe had a cause. Easy way of thinking of this, do you think something created god? What caused god? If you're answer is 'nothing' then I'll ask you 'ok, why couldn't it be the universe did not have a cause? Why not "nothing created the universe". Literally anything you might say about nothing started god or god being outside space and time or whatever, insert the word universe. As of now, there's as much evidence of nothing creating god as there is of nothing creating the universe. Nothing.
-I recommend checking out the book "A universe from nothing" by an actual scientist that knows physics and astrophysics, etc far more than you or me.
3. This is the most important that I cannot stress enough to keep in your mind and just ask yourself this over and over. "Do I have evidence of my claim?"
4. Kalam is also very classic 'god of the gaps' aka "I can't think of a better explanation, therefore god".
-Here's a good example of this. Remember the black plague during the middle ages? They used to ring the church bells loudly every hour because they thought it drove away the demons that caused the plague. They didn't know about germs. Imagine you were there with these same arguments. You'd say "I don't know why people are getting sick, it must be god punishing them' or 'it must be the devil' (which fun fact, isn't even in the old testament. Look up the word "Satan" for more information).
Imagine 2 people in the dark ages, Bob and Betty. Bob says "people are getting sick, I claim it is demons." Betty says "People are getting sick, I don't know why." Which person is closer to the truth?
Now think is Bob going to ever discover the real reason of germ theory? Bob has already said he knows the answer, so is Bob going to investigate causes of sickness? Betty on the other hand, since she doesn't know and admits she doesn't know, she may go "huh, why is it happening?" and then investigate, she may find out about hygiene or rats spreading it, or whatever. Betty's answer of "I don't know" is FAR closer to the truth.

So an atheist saying "I don't know" is the most intellectually honest answer someone can give. We don't know how the universe started or if asking that even makes sense. We don't know a lot of things. So how can we find out? What method can we use to come to the truth?

I highly recommend checking out Epistemology or on youtube, Street Epistemology. It's the study of knowledge and why we believe what we do. How can we increase or decrease confidence in a claim.

5. to 100% answer your question, your question has many assumptions in there. A better question would be "did the universe have a cause" and "was there anything before the universe" and similar questions. The answer to them is "I don't know, let's investigate as best we can using scientific methods since that brings us closer to truth."

Sorry, last note: If you're on Earth and want to go north, you go that direction. What happens when you're at the north pole and I ask you to go north. You can't, you're already as far north as you can go. To ask "which way is north" is a nonsensical answer. Asking what about BEFORE the universe may very well be the same kind of question.

Revelation 13:15-18

English Standard Version BIBLE VERSE

15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,] to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
Revelation 14:9-12

English Standard Version
REVELATION 14 9-12

9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in JESUS.

Revelation 16 1-21 bible verse  Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God."

2 So the first angel went and poured his bowl on the earth, and foul and evil sores came upon the men who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

3 The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a dead man, and every living thing died that was in the sea.

4 The third angel poured his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of water, and they became blood.

5 And I heard the angel of water say, "Just art thou in these thy judgments, thou who art and wast, O Holy One.

6 For men have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink. It is their due!"

7 And I heard the altar cry, "Yea, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are thy judgments!"

8 The fourth angel poured his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch men with fire;

9 men were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.

10 The fifth angel poured his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was in darkness; men gnawed their tongues in anguish

11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

12 The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great river Euphra'tes, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.

13 And I saw, issuing from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet, three foul spirits like frogs;

14 for they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.

15 ("Lo, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his garments that he may not go naked and be seen exposed!")

16 And they assembled them at the place which is called in Hebrew Armaged'don.

17 The seventh angel poured his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

18 And there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as had never been since men were on the earth, so great was that earthquake.

19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered great Babylon, to make her drain the cup of the fury of his wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found;

21 and great hailstones, heavy as a hundred-weight, dropped on men from heaven, till men cursed God for the plague of the hail, so fearful was that plague.
Signs of the End of the Age Mark 13 3-8

3And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” 5And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray. 6Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray. 7And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. 8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

I'm pagan but this song is just too good to resist, like it's just genuinely a really good song no matter the lyrics. It has all the catchiness and style to be a 80's pop-rock hit
