Y ya siento que nada va devolverme la vida
Todo es una pesadilla
Y la gente
(…) encontrar mis amigas
No enciende el motor
Y la hora que es
Nada, nada esta bien
Tu mi medicina
Bailar
Cual penicilina
Bailar
Y no hay virus que me siga
Bailar
Y por cosas de la vida
Bailar
Y que nadie me reprima
Un gato negro en la cera
Cuando paso bobeando
Debajo de una escalera
Vi un salero y me alejo
Voy corriendo temblando
Y despedazo un espejo
El colmo llego
Todo puede pasar
No me quiero sentar
A esperar el final
Tu mi medicina
Bailar
Cual penicilina
Bailar
Y no hay virus que me siga
Bailar
Y por cosas de la vida
Bailar
Y que nadie me reprima
In Anahí's song Bailar, the lyrics express the need to dance as a form of escape from the hardships of life. The first verse describes a feeling of hopelessness and despair when everything seems to be going wrong, and not even the support of friends can make things better. The line "Todo sale al revés" (Everything is going the wrong way) captures the frustration and helplessness of the situation. However, the chorus brings a glimmer of hope: "Bailar, cual penicilina" (Dancing, like penicillin) suggests that dancing can provide a cure, much like medicine. The repetition of "Bailar" drives home the message that the act of dancing is a powerful antidote to the struggles of life.
The second verse introduces a surreal element, as the singer encounters a black cat and breaks a mirror, which in superstition is said to bring bad luck. The line "No me quiero sentar a esperar el final" (I don't want to sit around waiting for the end) reflects a refusal to succumb to negativity and instead take action by dancing. The final repetition of "Tu mi medicina" (You, my medicine) reinforces the idea that the love of the person addressed in the song is the ultimate source of healing.
Overall, the lyrics of Bailar convey a message of resilience and the power of music to uplift the spirit. Dancing is presented as a way to overcome even the darkest of moments and find joy in the midst of chaos.
