Then whose house did you call me from that day,
Sometimes I wanna walk away,
But my heart won't free me from that way.
Be through it all and I don't want to start over again
All I want to be is happy
We have our differences and argument
But you mean the world to me
Do you really want to spent some time with me,
Are you really gonna keep it real with me
Do you really wanna give yourself to me
And fall in love
I dream till the day you came to me
Now reality has shown me it was just a fantasy
But in time you'll be coming back to me
Cause my heart won't let you be
Be through it all and I don't want to start over again
All I want to be is happy yeah
We have our differences and arguments
But you mean the world to me and
Without you it ain't easy
Do you really wanna spent some time with me
Are you really gonna keep it real with me
Do you really wanna give yourself to me
And fall in love
Don't wash away the love we made
I wanna make up for the wasted time
My heart can't take another heartache
I need to have you by my side
Do you really wanna spent some time with me
Are you really gonna keep it real with me
Do you really wanna give yourself to me
And fall in love
The lyrics to Andrea Martin's song Do You Really revolve around a complicated relationship. The singer is grappling with doubts and insecurities about her partner's loyalty and commitment. She questions his whereabouts and whom he was with when she wasn't around. Despite the arguments and disagreements, she is still emotionally invested in him and can't bear the thought of losing him. The chorus repeats the question of whether he truly wants to be with her, keep it real, and fall in love. The bridge pleads for the lover not to wash away the love they had and assures that she can't handle another heartbreak.
The song portrays the internal conflict and vulnerability often felt in romantic relationships. The singer wants to trust and believe in her partner's love, but past experiences have left her cautious and doubtful. The repetition in the chorus highlights the desperation to confirm whether the partner is really committed to the relationship or not. The bridge's emotional plea for the lover not to wash away the love highlights the importance of trust and loyalty in relationships.
