The Northeast Ohio natives have shared the screen with Oscar-nominated actors Danny Glover and Danny Aiello and have been collaborating with multiple Grammy-winner Thom Russo, producer for such artists as Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton and Jay-Z. Working with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, Andrew & Jared’s remake of the Here We Go Brownies stadium chant has recently been barked out in unison by nearly 70,000 people filling Cleveland Browns Stadium. Their music also rings throughout the venue as epics written for punt/kickoff returns and to stir fans – and players — prior to 3rd down plays. On Dec. 3 2011, the Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra performed a world premier of their piece Spirit of Christmas under the direction of Italian maestro Domenico Boyagian.
Their score for the live Irish Dance Show Rhythm in the Night can be heard at venues across the United States.
The DePolo brothers are currently working on their second studio album, set to hit stores in early 2014.

Expanse
Andrew & Jared DePolo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Of a life alone
No one wants to be alone
We like to isolate ourselves and we cry wolf
We are never alone
I have fallen into a binge
In a just second i'll become unhinged enough
Its never enough, to find, the wall you fell from
In the expanse, we reconnect
Even though we've never met
Reaching out instead of reaching deep
We log in but we never meet
An empty room when you walk in
You say hello but no ones within
You tip-toe silently to go up stairs
Silence is nice but not when no one cares
An echo crying when you hit the floor
A call unanswered standing at your door
You find, you're out of time. You pushed away
The ones who cared about you
In the expanse, we reconnect
Even though we've never met
Reaching out instead of reaching deep
We log in but we never meet
The lyrics of "Expanse" by Andrew & Jared DePolo delve into the themes of loneliness, isolation, and the disconnect that arises from our reliance on technology for connection.
The opening lines express the universal fear of being alone. No one wants to experience the solitude that comes from isolating ourselves from others. However, paradoxically, we often create our own loneliness by constantly crying out for attention or simulating situations where we feel lonely.
The second paragraph describes a personal struggle, perhaps a spiral into self-destructive behaviors or unhealthy patterns. The singer acknowledges that they are on the verge of losing the trust of someone important to them. They feel the weight of inadequacy and not being able to measure up to the expectations placed on them. The phrase "to find the wall you fell from" suggests that they are desperately searching for a way to regain what was lost, but it remains elusive and out of reach.
Moving on to the chorus, the lyrics highlight the contradiction of our modern digital age. We have countless opportunities to connect with others online, yet true, deep connections remain elusive. The concept of the "expanse" refers to the vast space of the internet, where we try to reconnect and form relationships with virtual strangers. However, despite the ability to reach out online, these connections lack the depth and intimacy of genuine face-to-face interactions.
The final paragraph speaks to the emptiness and lack of meaningful connection that can be felt in physical spaces as well. The reference to an empty room represents a situation where someone enters a space and greets a seemingly empty room, devoid of people. The silence may be peaceful, but it becomes lonely when nobody cares or responds. The echoes and cries metaphorically represent unanswered requests for attention or cries for help. It becomes evident that pushing away those who genuinely care about us leads to a sense of regret and being out of time.
In summary, "Expanse" captures the contemporary struggle with loneliness and isolation in a world that paradoxically offers limitless possibilities for connection. It reflects on the superficiality of online relationships and the need to find deeper connections in an increasingly disconnected society. The lyrics emphasize the importance of valuing and nurturing genuine human connections rather than relying solely on virtual interactions.
