A versatile composer, he is unable to be pinned down to any one genre of music. As a producer he has created work for companies such as WWF, US Bank and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; as a songwriter and performer he has toured 6 countries. Last fall he worked with Emily Haines of Metric to create a music and video installation piece at The Four Seasons Centre in Toronto.
Huang developed a near-cult following in his early twenties as the creative force behind Songs To Wear Pants To, an online musical comedy project that invites anyone to send him instructions for songs - of which he's created over 600 since 2004.
More recently he has become a well-known YouTube personality, his self-produced content and grassroots approach garnering him over 6 million views in the past year alone. With more by-request musical exploits, dialogues created from user submissions, and eccentric, time-intense pieces - watch him create a beat with 1000 pairs of jeans! - his work continues to hit a sweet spot between sound, picture and audience interaction.

Oh oh oh oh
You know you twist so fine
Come and twist a little closer now
You know you twist so fine
Come and twist a little closer now
You know you twist so fine
You know you twist so fine
Come and twist a little closer now
Now shake it out baby
Shake it out baby
Twist and shout
Twist and shout
Come on come on come on come on baby
Now come on come work it out
You know you look so good
You know you got me goin' now
You know you look so good
You know you got me goin' now
You know you look so good
You know you got me goin' now
You know you look so good
You know you got me goin' now
Now shake it out baby
Now shake it out baby
Twist and shout
Twist and shout
Come on come on come on come on baby
Now come on come work it out
The lyrics to Andrew Huang's "Twist & Shout" are all about dancing and having a good time. The song encourages the listener to let loose and move with the music, as the singer proclaims that they "twist so fine". The repetition of the chorus serves to further emphasize the fun and energetic nature of the song, with the singer urging their audience to "twist and shout" along with them.
The lyrics also contain a slightly flirty undertone, with the singer complimenting their dance partner's appearance and expressing how they "got me goin' now". This adds a layer of playfulness to the song, framing the dancing as a way to connect and flirt with someone.
Overall, "Twist & Shout" is a song about letting go of inhibitions and enjoying the moment through dancing and connection with others.

I love how he satirizes jazz bass lines by placing random notes on the piano scale...

It would probably be easier for me to say what I didn't like. The kinda abrasive and loud production of this is something I adore. That and the contrast of kinda calm delivery in the verses against the yelling in the chorus just makes me love this.

Please, for the love of all things good and decent in this world, make more songs like this.

Normally I would dislike something like this.. but it's definitely not the worst thing I've ever heard. It's pretty creative!

Technically it's a cover of an Isley Brothers song. The Beatles covered them.

+ardee1980 To be really picky, the Top Notes recorded it first. And it was written by someone else. So it's about four levels from being a Beatles cover.

Take all your favorite genres. Mash them together in your own style, making a song about your favorite movie/show/book/story.!:) Keep up the good work!

LOL... Oh my goodness, this totally defied my brain's expectations for a Beatles cover. Thanks for this! :D
