Pilot
Andy Barker P.I. Lyrics

Ain't really how it goes
One of us insane
The other doesn't know
Coping with the pain
With something medical
Now I need my space
And yeah it's personal
Why you only want me till I reply
You just wanna love me in your free time
Talking 'bout some shit u never mean right
Showed me everything except the green light
Losing all my patience
You were always waiting
I'm the one who changed it
Left us feeling jaded
Soon i'll wake up
From this coma
I'm fighting
Never enough
And I'm stuck
Auto pilot
Fell out of love
No more friendship
No mileage
You're like a drug
And my blood
Doesn't like it
Soon i'll wake up
From this coma
I'm fighting
Never enough
And I'm stuck
Auto pilot
Fell out of love
No more friendship
No mileage
You're like a drug
And my blood
Doesn't like it
I contain all my paranoia
Numb to everything I left
Half a brain falling off my shoulders
Numb to everything I have
Leave me on my island
Bury me in silence
Told you it was all too much
Scheming while you got it
Eve I'm in your Garden
Looking but I'll never touch
Losing all my patience
You were always waiting
I'm the one who changed it
Left us feeling jaded
Soon i'll wake up
From this coma
I'm fighting
Never enough
And I'm stuck
Auto pilot
Fell out of love
No more friendship
No mileage
You're like a drug
And my blood
Doesn't like it
Soon i'll wake up
From this coma
I'm fighting
Never enough
And I'm stuck
Auto pilot
Fell out of love
No more friendship
No mileage
You're like a drug
And my blood
Doesn't like it
Soon i'll wake up
From this coma
I'm fighting
Never enough
And I'm stuck
Auto pilot
Fell out of love
No more friendship
No mileage
You're like a drug
And my blood
Doesn't like it
"Pilot" by Andy Barker P.I. is a song about a relationship that has gone sour. The lyrics suggest that the singer has fallen out of love with their partner due to their erratic behavior. The lines "Two can play this game / Ain't really how it goes / One of us insane / The other doesn't know / Coping with the pain / With something medical" suggest that one of the partners has a mental health condition that is affecting the relationship. The singer needs their space, indicating that they need to break up with their partner. But the partner keeps coming back, only wanting to love the singer in their free time, and never meaning what they say. The singer feels stuck, as if stuck on autopilot.
The lyrics also touch on themes of addiction and codependency. The lines "You're like a drug / And my blood / Doesn't like it" suggest that the partner is addictive and toxic to the singer's well-being. The singer appears to have fallen out of love and lost their friendship with the partner, saying "No more friendship / No mileage." They realize that the relationship was not healthy from the beginning and that they were deceived, stating "Showed me everything except the green light." The song's title, "Pilot," may be referencing the idea of being on autopilot, or feeling like they are not in control of their own life anymore.

i feel bad for andy , he has balls to step out of being a side kick hes not actually a bad actor plus hes VERY underated on conans show with his quick wit, i sometimes found him annoying on tonight show but im glad hes sitting next to the guests and conan again. its his record that hurts him , "hes just a side kick, his shows don't do much" that stuff can really hurt

I'm only watching this becoz of Tony Hale but I agree that NBC should have given this show a chance and let Andy take the lead. But I do believe that the show does lack a bit more creativity. But it is unfair that this charming show is outrun by other useless and meaningless laugh-tracked sitcoms. Also Tony Hale is such a scene stealer!

Would have done much better as a 1 hour show on USA, but then it would have been too much like Psych.
