Aparo began playing in a group called Angie's Hope in the early 1990s before making the decision to go solo. After making that decision, Aparo made the decision to go out on the road touring with his acoustic guitar in the Southeast. In 1996, he released his first CD Out of the Everywhere, recorded at David Briggs studio in Nashville Tennessee with Jim Stabile as engineer. Burnard Tate played drums.
In 1999, with Grammy-winning producer Matt Serletic, Aparo released The American. His single "Spaceship" hit the radio waves in 2000, and The American also includes his original version of the single "Cry", made popular by Faith Hill and featured on her album of the same name. Many songs from The American are also on a new live CD 9live that was released in 2004.
While stuck in musical limbo due to record label issues, Aparo released Weapon of Mass Construction (2001) (Re-released under the title One With the Sun): a CD of cover songs taken from varying artists from The Beastie Boys to Neil Young and Elton John, as well as two previously unreleased originals. In his own words, "It was fun, and I got it out of my system." [1]
In 2003, another album -For Stars and Moon, a Beatles-influenced showcase - was released independently. This took Aparo's music in a different direction.
Most recently, Aparo has put together The Infidels, and is touring the southeast while recording a new album with producer Dann Huff. The music again is in a different direction than his previous recordings.

Two cars that gave up the fight
Nobody left to be saved
No steam left under the gauge
And in that carnival light
The show began to unwind
And I saw just how it goes
Out on that old two-lane road
I been saving time for another life
Maybe happiness is coming but you don't know when
Where
The gravity
Of whether you were meant for me
Came crashing down with sovereignty
In someone else's tragedy
I saw the old man again
He only talks about when
There was so much to believe
Before the cancer to be
He can't remember the song
The words they all come out wrong
And all his records are cracked
He knows you can't get it back
It's only faded time
Maybe happiness is coming but you don't know when
When
The gravity
Of whether you were meant for me
Came crashing like a symphony
In someone else's used to be
And we carried our cross like a clover
And we smoked cigarettes and we lied
About the things we would feel when we're older
Oh God what a fine waste of time
And I miss you are you coming over
In Angie Aparo's song "Gravity," he presents a melancholic reflection on life's fleeting moments and the unpredictability of love. He uses imagery of a car wreck to demonstrate the inevitability of tragedy in life. In the first verse, he describes seeing a wreck at a light where two cars gave up the fight, and no one was left to be saved. He establishes the theme of tragedy that runs throughout the song. The carnival light serves as a metaphor for how life is like a carnival, filled with the lights and excitement that distract us from life's realities.
The second verse is about the inevitability of old age and death, and how they are like shadows that follow us everywhere. The old man in the song only talks about "when," and there was so much to believe before cancer took over. He can't remember the song, and all his records are cracked. This verse suggests that time is fleeting, and no matter how much we try to hold onto the moments, they slip through our fingers like sand.
The chorus of the song centers around the idea of "the gravity of whether you were meant for me." This line suggests that the singer is searching for love that will last, but it's uncertain if the person they've met is the right one. The line "came crashing down with sovereignty in someone else's tragedy" suggests that love comes with pain and that it's difficult to find the right person at the right time.
