I wish demos would get as much attention/admiration by the music industry as final songs do, but then that would take away from the ethereal qualities that make a demo what it is…introspection, solitude/loneliness, empathy…things the music industry avoids like the plague. This song took on new meaning for me after hearing this demo, I thought thoughts I didn’t have the space to think with Kendrick’s version. It’s like gaining new perspective on something you thought you knew through and through, like your best friend or significant other telling you a secret they’ve kept for years. Shows life always has more to offer than what we can see and touch. That’s my TED talk.

Definitely one of those demos that gets you in the feels. I love the way this was utilized in PRIDE. I listen to this song at least once a month though.
