A New Life
Annie Haslam Lyrics

all that wasted time
wondering if this would change
always the same
in your heart you're crying
Then one day someone appears
you don't even know
when you realise
that love's arrived
and this time here to stay
Chorus:
Love comes to you
you've waited such a long time
now you're complete
and you're love
Yesterday was very hard
nowhere else to turn
now the timing's right you know
when you turn around
and there's not a sound
but a silent look of love
Chorus
Many days you've wanted to
enter a new life
now your troubles disappear
and the struggle dies
Sometimes when you think out loud
miracles come true
there's the proof in every day
you hear him say a new life
Chorus
The song "A New Life" by Annie Haslam essentially tells the story of waiting for love and finally finding it. The lyrics describe the years of loneliness and wasted time, wondering if anything would ever change. Despite the heaviness of the situation, the words still convey a sense of hope and yearning. The arrival of love is described in a delicate and understated manner, with the simple acknowledgement that someone has appeared and made a difference. The chorus is a joyous celebration of finally finding love after so much waiting and searching. The lyrics paint a picture of a complete and fulfilled life, where troubles disappear, and struggles die.
The song is an anthem of hope and resilience. Its message is that, despite the pain and difficulties of life, things can change, and love can enter your life when you least expect it. It is a song of encouragement, urging listeners to keep going, to keep striving for a better life, and to believe that things can improve. The lyrics are delivered in Annie Haslam's signature soaring, ethereal voice, which adds an extra layer of emotion and depth to the words.
